Affiliated with our company, Umehara Yuichiro is undergoing medical treatment in hospital for “acute desseminated encephalomyelitis”.
To the fans, and to everyone involved, we apologise wholeheartedly for the growing concern and inconveniences caused.
For even just one day closer to him appearing in good health in front of everyone again, we kindly ask for your patience for the time being.
In regards to when he will return, if we are able to we will once again release a report.

According to Wiki, “acute desseminated encephalomyelitis” is:
“…a rare autoimmune disease marked by a sudden, widespread attack of inflammation in the brain and spinal cord. As well as causing the brain and spinal cord to become inflamed, ADEM also attacks the nerves of the central nervous system and damages their myelin insulation, which, as a result, destroys the white matter. It is often triggered after the patient has received a viral infection or, perhaps exceedingly rarely specific non-routine vaccinations.”

My thoughts
Just yesterday I was thinking, “We haven’t had any Ume-chan news lately”, and today Arts Vision released their report. I actually found out from a Hyorotto Danshi twitter notification, and the fact that they had to cover 2 recordings made me think it wasn’t just the flu. I was still half asleep at this point so ofc when I woke up a little bit more I looked into twitter reports and such.
Given the huge list of things he’s in above he’s working so hard!
All we can do as fans is wait, stay positive and hope he gets better soon. It doesn’t sound like he’ll be back as quickly as we may like but hopefully he’ll make a speedy recovery!
