Summary
Hans has always strived to live up to his noble title.
Hans has always wanted to be useful and worthy of what he would one day inherit.
However, his life changed drastically after he met Henry, and his efforts became more intenseโespecially in his desire not to be a burden, to be able to protect Henry in the same way Henry had protected him.
Thatโs why archery training became his second home: relentless, consuming, the only thing that could define who he wasโhis one true talent.
And yet, the mask he wore couldn't withstand the pressure. Those very training sessions began to crack something inside him, something he couldnโt control. Not until he and Henry are ambushed by a group of Cumans and become separated from the rest of their group.
This story is a long journey into Hansโs psyche, a shifting blend of flashbacks and present events that delve deep into his character.
Through it, Hans and Henry will lay bare their inner turmoilโand ultimately come to a conclusion.
