also while making this post i discovered that this logo which i already liked for the thermal imaging lizard

used to be this

The IATSE international logo is pretty basic (although I'd say it's elegant in its simplicity if someone tried to tell me it was uncool)

but the logo for IATSE 13 (local for Minneapolis, Saint Paul, and also the rest of southern Minnesota but who cares about Rochester) has MIDWESTERN CHARACTER

yes that is a snowflake. because IA13 is in Minnesota. they know their brand

And the touring company of Waitress had an IATSE bug done in the style of a cherry pie that they called, of course, "PIEATSE"

(The IATSE bug is also close enough to the IAFF, (the firefighter's union) that I've had to explain to folks that no, I don't rescue people from things, I'm a weird theater kid.)
