i’m finally reading cynthia’s book and it’s only the first chapter and i’m sobbing
writing this kind of late but happy birthday johnny!!!
you were my second beatles love and i think the story of your life was poetically tragic. heartbreak, betrayal, and redemption are all what made you such a complex person. what a shame you were taken away far too soon. much love, a girl born far too late <3.
current events have weighed heavily on my mind recently. this blog is not and will not turn political and i only post about music and more specifically beatles related things. however, in light of certain recent events and the anniversary of johns death approaching in a few months i have been thinking. when john lennon was assassinated the world grieved. he was a famous musician, but also an activist. his concerts weren’t always for entertainment, he raised money for children in need. he was no saint and the decisions he made in his personal life were questionable at the least, yet his legacy and impact on the world overall was positive. why is that? why is it that despite personal mistakes and wrong doings, john is remembered positively? john lennon advocated for peace, he spoke against violence, and he did all of this regardless of the hate he got from the world. he was a man killed for his beliefs like several others, but his beliefs were of peace, not hate. his music united people and regardless of what he did in his own life, his message was in fact a positive one. that to me is the difference. slightly hypocritical, sure, but the influence he had on the world did not promote a culture of hate. he was killed by the violence he despised. it was a tragedy, and sadly, tragedies like these which he fought to end are not over. what is more disappointing than anything is that we’re still having the same problem all these years later.
happy birthday to my favorite beatles girl! her resilience was inspiring and she was taken so for granted. i always found her story incredibly relatable and i know many other girls feel the same.
NEW JOHN LENNON ALBUM AND ANTHOLOGY 4 ANNOUNCEMENT OMG
does anyone know were to find cutie beatles shirts that aren’t just the abbey road album cover because i am in need 🙏
favorite genre of john pics
the way i just sat in queue for over an hour to leave empty handed is crazy. it said tickets started at $38 (in atl btw) which is highly unlikely but i’m sure most cheap tickets were sold to scalpers. by the time i actually made it to where i could purchase tickets, there was nothing under $500. i’m hoping for a general sale miracle at this point. james paul mccartney when i catch you… 😔
this is now my favorite photo. joan baez my beloved <3
does anyone else just randomly remember that john lennon is real and very much dead and get upset about it or is it just me? like i feel like a lot of people along with myself sort of forget that celebrities who’ve passed away were real people and had such impactful lives. i completely understand the fact that john was a very flawed person and his actions deeply affected those around him, but hating him has become sort of meme not just in the beatles fandom, but in pop culture in general. let’s not forget that he died at 40 years old and majority of his life was spent trying to navigate the complexities of being that insanely famous. not to mention his childhood which explains (not excuses) a lot of his actions later on in life. he never had the chance george, paul, and ringo had to learn from their mistakes and become a better person because that opportunity was taken from him. why exactly? because he was vocal about his opinions, even if he couldn’t always hold himself to the standards he believed in. he was an activist and he was never concerned with whether or not his morals would affect his public image. that was proven with his statements about religion, specifically christianity. for example, him saying the beatles were more popular than jesus christ. the way i see it, for their time period they were! (compared to jesus’ popularity when he was alive i mean) society wasn’t ready to see someone so boldly oppose the majority and he did it with no fear. was john flawed, narcissistic, and bad to his family? yes! but we can’t pretend that the other beatles and musicians at the time were any better. in conclusion, john lennon’s life is often times boiled down to his worst moments instead of appreciating his passion for peace and impact on music. he was not perfect or a great person, but he was not evil and many people seem to forget that.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR BEAUTIFUL DEAR RINGO YAAAAYYYYY !!!!! PEACE AND LOVE ☀️🌳💞🥳🙏❗️🫶♥️😽🥦🥦🥦🥦

ITS PAULS BIRTHDAY!!!
you know a joke that never EVER gets old is when a character says smth like “I will NOT go to [place] and that is FINAL” and then it cuts to them in that place I eat that shit up every single time
my favorite edition of this!
I’m desperate for new airbuds friends so i will be posting my weekly recap (@kyleigh.234)
I know everyone talks about george’s friendship with bob dylan, but can we talk about the beatles meeting my queen joan baez… (also idk if this is common knowledge but i just saw these pics and my two worlds collided)
i feel like most fans completely choose to ignore olivia harrison in favor of pattie boyd. like yes while i adore pattie and her and george were great together, we’re completely ignoring his wife for a majority of his life and the mother of his child. i’ve also seen people say that pattie was his soulmate but to me it was more of a first love type of relationship. either way, olivia harrison appreciation!!!
