Her smile ? She could keep it for herself, because in this moment there was no way she’d indulge in letting her soften or sweet talk her. She literally trapped her into that stupid situation. “ I did ! You could have just let me go ! instead… you’re acting like I’m a complete criminal ! ” & Zee’s words resounded in her mind again & again ; she didn’t want to hurt her. But she couldn’t just let her control her either. “ You guys don’t need me. ” That was the truth, she felt like it was the actual truth. Dinah’s voice broke, but the sobs didn’t clutter her throat to let her speak freely. Her hold loosened from the brunette, & she back off as far as she could, considering she was still cuffed with one hand with her. Her canary cry happened to be uncontrollable & the last event was still haunting her. People died because of her ; collateral damages yeah, call it whatever you want, but still people with names. A few children too… she memorized the names. Just so she wouldn’t forget. “ I’m not a monster, Zee… I swear… I didn’t…” She frowned, trying to hold back her tears, “ I didn’t mean to kill them… ”

Zee knew she was not the best at making moral choices. She tried, followed a strict set of rules when it came to her magic and she still somehow managed to throw her compass out the window when she felt like more was needed to be done. Add in someone she cared about and Zee was hopeless. “I am not treating you like a complete criminal. I would not handcuff myself to a complete criminal. Just not someone who is thinking completely rationally.” The joke feels flat even to her ears. To Zee, Dinah had always been so confident. She could take on anyone in a fight, stand next to Wonder Woman and Batman without batting an eyelash and still look gorgeous even after a brutal fight. Or maybe it was because she had been half in love with the Black Canary since the first time she had seen her. She wanted to wrap her arms around Dinah, “We need you. I need you. Someone has to remind me to keep going even when all you can see is darkness.” And everyone knew she had turned her back on this world more than once. It was only when she was dragged back in that she came back. “It’s like when you get injured, you just need to heal first. For you and them.” Zee closed her eyes and took a deep breath. “None of us think of you as a monster. You’ve watched me do unforgivable things, to people I love and hate. My own magic has gotten out of control.” Never to the extent, it had with Dinah’s canary cry but it had come close. She had nearly destroyed the world in her own arrogance. “Heal first, Lets both of us go somewhere. We can relax, remind ourselves that there are other ways to be a hero or anything, but please whatever you do, rely on us.”

Hiatus Notice

I’ve been dealing with a health problem for the last month and I don’t have the energy to reply to things right now. I have a drs appointment for it next month so hopefully after that I’ll be back to my normal self and can get back on her more.

Sometimes Regina thought back to the girl she had been who had believed so faithfully in love and the power of it. She still knew there was no greater power than true love but she had also learned that no matter how powerful that love there were still things it could not undo and she just happened to fall in love with men fated to prove that. “A part of life is pain.” A lesson she had never learned well. “I’m not going to hole myself up from love but I’ve found it twice in my lifetime. I don’t need to look for it. I promise I will never leave you.”

You are my true love and there is no curse or magic that is strong enough to tear me away from you for long.” She couldn’t say there was nothing strong enough to separate them, both of them knew that there was magic that could do exactly that, but she loved Henry more than she had loved anyone. “If I do find love, they will have to include you in their life too.”

Henry knew his mother meant well on her quest for a happy ending, but sometimes he wondered what more he needed to be for her. Robin was gone, twice. He hated any man that would make his mother weep like that even if Henry wanted him to take part of the place Neal left. Love was never out of the question. Apearantly villains work to believe that something must be fixed. The good did that too. “ mother- I just don’t want you hurt. You always have me. Curse or not. I want you to be happy, not sabotage your hopes of finding that man out there or using there magic. I love you enough to let you go but I’m also afraid you will leave.”

Zee was just going to hope that Dinah forgave her because even with her magic the other woman slightly intimidated her. But she was doing this for her own good and if Zee was honest it was one of the least intrusive things she had done for someone else’s good. “Sorry Dinah, but you didn’t leave me any other choices.” She smiled nervously as Dinah warned her. This was not going to end well, she was hoping for it ending with a laugh and maybe some fries or pie. That was how everything should end, but she couldn’t remember the last time she had been able to enjoy those two things after everything was over. Her heart is pounding as Dinah trapped her against the wall. She could get out of this if she wanted to but that would mean either hurting Dinah or releasing her and neither one is an option.

“Look at the situation we’re in now. If you’re willing to hurt me or worse you’re in no condition to go out there and do anything. Not without you or someone else getting hurt or worse.”

Eyes widened the moment the cuffs lock around her wrist in a clicking noise. “ What the hell—” She tugs lightly at first, but it does seem locked. “ Zee… seriously. ” Anger starts to simmer inside the Canary’s chest, jawline clenching. It’s all about magic, it’s not like Dinah could try to find the key, a spell from the performer because she didn’t want to listen. “ I warn you one last time,” they’re friends, but you don’t force your friends to do or go anywhere. ( I have the right to take bad decisions if I want to ! ) Dinah curls her palm around the edge of the tiny chain & with strength she manages to pull Zatanna in the other direction, only to threaten her while pining her against a wall. The chains are plastered right below her chin, causing her jugular to pulse madly. But she doesn’t look afraid, she knows Dinah won’t do anything serious maybe.
