HAPPY 69TH ANNIVERSARY TO HANNA BARBERA!
Looks like Edmund is taking up Body Shop classes at Orbit City High School. His first assignment was to redesign n old space car recovered from a junkyard. While doing research, he discovered some photos of the retro-futuristic designs of 1950s cars. So he fabricated some trim pieces from a 1957 Meteor (Canadian Ford) and grafted them onto the body, then gave it the prevalent 3-tone paint job seen on most of those classic cars. After installing the rebuilt engine, he took it for a leisurely 250 mph cruise around the campus with his sister Daisy riding shotgun. So far it's holding up very well...but will it still hold up on the 3000mph expressway?
The Artfight attack was based on this car I saw at the Houston Autorama: a 2004 Ford Thunderbird with 1957 features grafted onto the body. The owner says this is the way Ford should've designed their new Thunderbird. Do you agree?
The characters were designed by @darkwolfknight00, based on The Jetsons by Hanna-Barbera

Looks bad
Idk if I should even post this. I made a timelapse, too but I'm thinking about deleting it.
At least it looks better than the original? But not by much :-/
There's actually one or two things in the original that I like more than the one I just did, inspite of being possibly less accurate. I wonder if this makes me both a bad artist and a bad fan...
I suppose I'll let Tumblr judge that.
And here's the original screenshots
I'm not sure how I can continue my projects now. I feel like every single thing I do is wrong. Is anyone even going to want to read my comics? probably not. Especially if they look like crap. Its hard to want to work on the Persona 5 character sheets when I keep feeling like its going to look bad. Especially now that I know I'm never going to get any commissions. Its not like I can make up for it by telling myself I'm at least making money. How does anyone make art at all? I've been doing it for decades and it still feels impossible. Maybe moreso now that I'm ancient and falling apart than when I was young and still full of hope for the future. I feel like I want to tell myself that I just missed it. That it was my time, and that time is passed and now I can never get it back again. But its simpler than that, isn't it? It never was my time to begin with. I was never going to make it. Nobody cares about my shite. And no matter how much effort and passion I put into the things I love, no one will ever understand my point of view on things. But now I dont know what to do.
I've seen so many versions of DeviantArt come and go, fandoms become popular then become problematic, Youtube change from this tiny thing to what it is now. I've been on the internet since the 1990s. I've been putting my art on it for 20 years now, give or take. Its been a rocky road, but at some point I thought I'd at least be making commissions. What went wrong? Am I really just that bad? Is this how things are meant to be? Is it better for me to just give up? But then what do I do?
All I've ever wanted to do was make a living as an artist. Or at least, make enough that it feels like I can actually call myself an artist. An actual professional. I cant do anything else, but I cant do this either. I feel like such a loser.
