Noble darkness, the envelope of the earth and the heavens, a black and seamless blanket of stars. You surround us as we fall in every direction, drifting aimlessly farther and farther into your close and distant depths. Boundless and endless and powerful and prolonging, the universe is yours to behold in your silent hands.
Lovely nightfall, your grasp is sickly and your ailment apparent: by a mere shaft, a small photon of the fire of the universe, you no longer exist. Where there is light, you may not be. You shrink away from the moon as it nears the sun's brilliance, and the moon itself, intoxicated with silver light, is the lonely observer of your hour. Your tendrils creep weakly around our minds, but disperse in the interest of knowledge.
Selfish blackness, you know everything of the world but choose to reveal nothing. Light, your true adversary, reveals all. Stand not firm in defiance, for the heavenly fire forces you to merely observe on the bounds of existence as the light carries out its wild performance.
Forces of the night, be not swept in the fantasy of the boundless darkness. Even kings, monarchs cannot raise a resistance. Armies, cavalries, infantries, ancient and magical weaponry are numerous but break without a trace at the breath of light.
