my top 5′s of 2019 🎀Actress in a tv shows
#1 Katie Cassidy as Laurel Lance in Arrow
“Right….” Thea probably did. But she wasn’t going to think about it. Laurel was a evil cow, and she honestly didn’t want to think about the woman hurting anyone that she loved. Thea could handle herself, but she wasn’t stupid. Laurel was a metahuman, and she knew that she probably couldn’t beat her. “I know how to keep myself alive….or well. I do now...” Not so much when Ra’s had killed her. But she trained more, and was careful with who she fought now. She couldn’t leave her twins on their own. She just smirked though. “And just maybe that’s why I try to not get on your bad side” Thea knew what she was doing, and sometimes aligning yourself with a evil cow was worth it.
"Roy sure knows how to pick ‘em, doesn’t he?” She snickered. “There’s hope for you yet.”
HARLEY ADJUSTS HER POSTURE on her lap, trying to think of her words at the least once in her life, while she thought, she chewed her bubblegum making an obnoxiously SIZE of bubble shows up between her crimson’s lips before going to a POP after one final CHOMP. ❛ Ouch! I adore your compliments. ❜ She says sardonically. Of course, annoying Dinah would NOT lead her to where she wants to go so… She tugged a strand of Dinah’s hair behind her ear. ❛ FINE! It’s not stealing, stealing is more borrowing. I want the talent of Ms. Luthor for a second, I mean, I want a costume so… It’d be for true couture, ya'know? And she does KNOW how to make good explosives. She’s a Luthor after all. —- I know there isn’t much to offer you, my main reason why I want to pay a tiny itty visit to L-Corp. HOWEVER, I’m ya gal, so if you want something from there, I can get it for ya. Watcha say Birdy? I pinky promise.❜ She raised her pinky finger. ❛ Or! ❜ There’s always a ‘or’… The more option the better… ❛ I owe you big time. And then, if something came out and you need some extra hand I’m ya gal. And if you need therapy, I’m available. Just say yes, will ya?! ❜ She just wants to hear a yes, among a bunch of 'no’ and 'rejection’ she listened to after she broke up with Mister J. She no longer has immunity to people.
Each echoing pop sent Laurel farther and farther towards madness. Killing the clown princess would alleviate the strain but it would cause ripples that she would rather avoid. “You want to kidnap and accost Lena Luthor?” The thought was preposterous. Even if they got through her systems and her security team, would the scientist even consider working under duress? All of the factors pointed in the direction of utter failure; yet, Laurel considered it. “Just know you will be in my debt for the foreseeable future and if this goes sideways, I’m out. You’ll be on your own to escape, got it?” Her bones craved chaos. Central City seemed like the best place to make it.
Dinah Lance in Green Arrow #4
“My twins have too much family for them to ever be orphans. And that is an awful lot of people for you to have to kill….” Thea mused, that dark expression on her face again. She knew that she wouldn’t be able to beat Laurel, not with her meta abilities, but that didn’t mean she was going to allow the woman to scare her. “But I also know better than to cross someone like you. I know how to pick my battles” And why would she pick one that she was going to lose.
"You underestimate my reach, baby.” Laurel blustered. The overreaching darkness that slipped between her bones waned. Every second she spent this earth, another part of her craved the light. Not that she would never admit that to this snot nosed little shit. Laurel needed to hide al the vulnerability that weakened her because no had her back on this earth or her own. This life was lonely but she had thick skin. “Smart girl. Keep within your means and maybe I’ll even kick you some assistance, if it serves me.”
He heard the grumbled words but they didn’t register instantly. Least not before he had a book tossed at his head. That had him moving a lot less sluggishly, rolling over to fix Laurel with an offended yet harmless glare before looking down at the item tossed at him.
“Heard lawyers had a brutal way with words but didn’t realize how literal that was.” John picked up the book and looked over the cover. He noted the pen, lips curling upward a little. “Doing your homework, love?”
"I wouldn’t know but I’ll take your words for it.” Laurel snarled. Although, it had a little less bite in it. He was a pain in the ass but quite an easy man to get along with. They both converged over their grey moralities. “That’s none of your business but I am playing a part. The best way to sell it, is to be it. I can’t be a lawyer without some legitimate knowledge of it.”
“You finally sleep off the “hangover”?”
John hung back, allowing Laurel space to work her charms. A smug smirk curling his lips upward in satisfaction, knowing Masher wouldn’t be able to resist falling into their trap.
Masher, for his part, was enjoying being on the surface and away from Hell for a vacation. He had heard whispers on the wind of those from a higher order were also roaming the Earth but Masher was only concerned for number one. Himself. And it looked like number one was about to get lucky with the stunning blonde that pulled up to the bar beside him. “Honey, I’m the best company. You wanna chat? I can chat all night with you. What do ya wanna hear?”
The reply Masher gave was to be expected, the git thought he was smooth with the way he openly leaned against the counter and played with the toothpick he held between his teeth. It was cringe worthy but John knew Laurel could handle him.
Laurel leaned in a little closer. Her hands smoothing across the bar. The crude sound of his tone left the hair on the back of her neck on end. There was something about predatory men that really ground her gears. He didn’t understand the power she possessed; and what little will said had to preserve his life. "I don’t really want to hear from you. I want to hear from your boss.” Her words hushed as she dipped in closer to him.
“If you like your brain in your head and not out your ears, I’d tell me what I want to hear.”
Oliver pulled away from the soft pass of her fingers along his skin; the residual burn lingered after the fact. Black Siren was a master manipulator. She only came around to provoke him. There was no way in hell that Felicity would work with her; and she would never plot to kill someone. Not his Felicity.
“Are you done?” He hissed. “You heard me, Laurel. Stay away.”
"Unpuff your chest, Oliver. You don’t scare and you never will, you blow hard. Felicity is her own woman and she will seek out whomever she wishes. I entertain it because it kills you to know she came to me.” Laurel pushed away from the table, tossing her unused napkin into his tea. “Your wife is a real keeper. I’d be smart and stay in your lane before she leaves you for someone little more her speed.”
“Enjoy your day, Ollie.”
“Oh no, jail is too good for that man. I want him to know that he will never, ever have real freedom again. I plan to give him to ARGUS and let him disappear into their system. Never to be heard from again. He’ll have nowhere to go if he runs. No one will ever trust him again. And if he does run, there’s apparently the fear he’ll live with wondering when ARGUS will tire of looking of him and just blow him up,” Felicity said with a sweet smile.
"ARGUS? You do know that I broke out of ARGUS custody, right? You don’t honestly think that they’ll be able to hold him. Diaz has seedy friends in high places. It’s not unlikely that he’ll collect his debts for a get out jail free card.” ‘I thought she was supposed to be a genius.’
His eyes grew wide for a moment at the revelation. “Oh! I see. Seems my counterpart met the same end. Hopefully we don’t end like that….” God, Tommy. Could you be any darker? “Seems like you’ve got a sharper tongue and sharper style choices. My girl…My Laurel. She was more of a cozy-sweater type. Though, this look?” Tommy gestured with his hand as his eyes looked her up and down. “It works for you.”
“Four? Wow. I’ve only been here a few weeks. Months, maybe? I dunno. I’ve lost track.”
Laurel failed to fight back the grin that bloomed across her lips. This Tommy was far more humble and human than her own. That man could talk her right out her pants. This one was softer and a little sweeter than she entertained; but she couldn’t seem to walk away. ‘He’s just wearing his face. He’s not your Tommy.’ Her mind scolded the action but was ignored. “There’s something about cable knit sweaters and boyfriend jeans that make me want to gag.” Daringly, she stroked his beard. “I like the scoff.”
“That’s normal. This Earth finds way to piss away the time.”
arrow season 06, episode 19
petty--dabbler:
Lying on his front, face half buried in the softness of a pillow or two, John slumbered. The worries of the world and more directly, the difficulties occurring in his own life, were all seemingly forgotten for the moment as he slept on in a dreamless state.
However, the evils of wakefulness began to creep in, beginning with the feeling of something warm against his skin. “Five more hours.” He half groaned, half mumbled into the pillow under his face. His nose wrinkled and his turned further into the comforts of the bed to bury himself away from whoever… or whatever was trying to wake him up.
"You get five more seconds,” Laurel grumbled. Their little adventure the night before ended with the usual scraps and bruises; nevertheless, they were victorious. At least she thought they were. Magi behaviors were far too messy for her taste. It was just easier to blow them away before they could conjure some salt circle or some silly Supernatural gag. She tucked her pen into the concepts of law textbook she picked off “her” shelf and tossed it at his head. Laurel would come back to that chapter later.
oh Lord, oh Lord, i’m begging you please don’t take that sinner from me
@holyxsmoak
Felicity grinned at her, “You said did I want him dead, not did I still want justice. He cost Oliver his freedom, his sense of self, and his son. He’s killed hundreds of people. I want him in jail. I want his freedom taken away the way he did Oliver’s. And I want him to know I did it. The one that he thought he could use against Oliver. The one he thought weak.”
Her attempt to make some sort of amends seemed to slowly begin to fall in on itself; until the mischievous quip dropped from Felicity’s sweet mouth. “Maybe you aren’t as soft as I thought.” Laurel turned in towards her, crossing her arms tight over her chest. “Now, now Felicity. Do you really think jail is an adequate piece of justice. What are we going to do? Throw him into a place like Slabside?” Laurel’s brow cocked up. “If you’re anything like My Felicity Smoak, you’d think outside of the box to really stick it to him.”
GOD I LOVE THIS WOMAN, she thought to herself, when she threatens her with the nickname Harley just put on her. Will she stop to put a nickname on people? Hell nope. But she went on, resting her bat on her own lap. ❛ TOP-NOTCH! Like… L-Corp. I want to visit the Lexalomaniac baby sister. I may or may not be in the mood in a shop spree over there. ❜ She winks at Dinah, followed by another chewing of her gum, and making a sized bubble appearing between her crimson’s lips and another POP.
"A shopping spree? I don’t know if it’s been the noxious fumes you’ve inhaled or the insane amount of concussive blows you’ve taken like a champ but a shopping spree doesn’t do it for me. If I’m going to put my neck out to storm the high tech castle that is L-Corp, I need whatever this is to serve me.” Laurel leaned down into her elbows to mirror Harley’s posture. “What are you looking to swipe?”
