Life goes on. Megan left to stay with her dad, so its just me and Gracie at home now. Im still waiting on thyroid biopsy results.

I just had something happen to my eye yesterday. Thankfully it is ok, but I had a scary time with a posterior vitreous detachment with hemorrhaging. My retina is intact but I have a high risk of tearing or retinal detachment for the next couple months so I get to see the retina specialist every couple weeks for awhile.

Overall though, well... Im still breathing.

Thyroid biopsy isnt in yet.

Getting a referral to a bariatric clinic. Not for surgery but I need more data about my health and I need better advice than just watch my cholesterol and carbs. Its not working and perimenopausal weight gain has me stuck at 252 and I can barely move. I'm miserable.

The horrors persist but so do I.

I'm so tired of being in pain. My foot is so damn fucked, and I am priced out of physical therapy until I meet my deductible.

Maybe not long though, since I only have another $900 left to go. I just was at Urgent Care for a sore throat so bad I couldn't swallow anything. Flu A & B, Strep and Covid all negative, just bad sinuses we guess. So that will hit insurance any day now.

Then today I went to Duke for my bi-annual check on my eyes. All is well, and I can relax for another 6 months.

Tomorrow is my thyroid biopsy. If they do it? I've been referred for it but don't know 100% if they will do it or just labs and schedule it for the next visit.

I'm 50 and feel like I'm 70.

So to me, there are spoons (general energy cost) and carnival tickets (specific energy cost).

Spoons can be used pretty much anywhere.

Carnival tickets are only good for the carnival, and it’s only in town for a limited amount of time.

So like, if I get “kitchen cleaning” carnival tickets, I can’t use that to clean my bedroom, that’s not where the carnival is.

There was no communication before the fact

The recent UI changes to reblogging are too confusing

I'd like tagging to be easier

I did a thing. Please excuse me looking awful, I have been feeling very run down. But I went to Silent Book Club tonight, at a local bookstore. They have paving stones painted like books.

It is a space geared for women. It was beautiful, and the cafe does dirty sodas and flavored cold foams so I got a Coke with Lime syrup and Lime foam and it was amazing!

The bookstore is dark romance and the cafe is pink and white and sparkly and I'm in love with both.

Achilles tendonitis. I am in so much fucking pain and I'm not doing well with it right now.

Snowed in pretty good, but been cozy. We got about a foot of snow. I'm using the last of my PTO to cover 5 hours of work tomorrow, then I'm sunk. Hopefully we will still make it through the month financially. Happy to have the time at home to chill though.
