i know i'm new here, but i'm still surprised that 'BAMF Shang Qinghua' (or even 'cool/tough/effortlessly ruthless/competent with violence Shang Qinghua') is a particularly common moshang trope. for me at least, the whole point is that yeah he's a coward and squeamish and fumbles shit a lot but when it really matters/for MBJ's sake, he tries so hard it doesn't matter.
