Rival Martyn challenges you to a battle!

It's been so long since I drew one of these, I ended up just going for it. In my pokemon au he's Jimmy's rival who's already participated in several region's leagues.

I feel like most of his pokemon are pretty obvious in their inspiration. I picked manectric as his dog pokemon as a call back to the big dogs, since electrike is green and yellow like him and has a mega evolution like Jimmy's absol, but also because manecrtic is my favourite dog pokemon so I had to give it to somebody important.

Also I gave him ninetales before finding out that it appears to be his favourite pokemon and has used it in multiple playthroughs, I mostly picked it for weeb reasons.

And yes I have in fact choreographed an entire battle between him and Jimmy to the entei movie opening theme which I will in all likelihood never animate.
