i love that both rhaenyra and alicent are now admitting to be jealous of the men that have separated them and gotten in their way. rhaenyra has always wanted alicent to choose her over aegon, alicent has always wanted rhaenyra to choose her over daemon. to think both of them have been bitter about these betrayals for decades and cant just let it go

Perhaps sending Daeron away was my truest act of motherhood.
Why is it so hard for people to understand/acknowledge that Alicent, especially in season 3, never once said/claimed/blamed Rhaenyra to be cruel, but she knows for sure it does not matter whether Rhaenyra is cruel or merciful but in the end she would have no other choices or, and this is a fact that has been proved too many times, she would not be able to control other things and people around her. How many times should Alicent say this again so that people finally accept it?
Rhaenyra did not order Daemon to kill Jaehaerys. She did not order Daemon to kill anyone but Aemond. What happened?
Rhaenyra did not order Luthor to be brutal to the smallfolk, and what happened?
She spared Daeron, yes, then Ormund never stops fighting (not Alicent's will either, everyone does what benefits them or what they think is right). After the massacre of the City Watch, Rhaenyra must kill both Ormund and Daeron.
Yeah, yeah, we want the gays to be together, and it makes sense that Rhaenyra will absolutely be mad when she finds out Alicent tried to flee, mad and hurt, but of course, she must flee. God damn it, I were not happy that she forced Helaena to abort the baby, but when she knew Helaena would never accept it, she tried to take her out (at the cost of leaving Jaehaera). There is no perfect plan, especially in this context. I suppose she should do nothing and let the baby be born, and pray that Daemon or Mysaria (in the book, it was she who told Helaena about Maelor's death and indirectly caused Helaena's death) be merciful enough?
Because I thought you might try. If not for me, then, perhaps for them. // There can be no harm in it, at the least. You could try it.
