Back home, chapter ? act 2, just some stuff I got on my mind, low-key wanted to write down

*…they’ve grown in, into their surroundings, slowly becoming one with all the roots and sharp edges and shelves and small corner of their work place. Realisation comes perhaps a bit late, as Yan fumbles in a clumsy bow over their own feet, that they’ve made to blend in with humans and that now almost seemed to set them apart from their own kind. Another one of goodies rushes forward to — as always, as expected, everything in complete order, always as expected, Yan should feel giddy at such display of simple order — support orbital, weave a strand out of their both frail and grounded body that then usually would be passed to higher ups or The Judge to record. To know.

This strand is thin, thinner than paper, almost see through, as if they had nothing to say. No experiences to express. And the sound it makes is soft, softer and quieter. Yan can’t tell if it’s because of how long they spent outside of Lum, almost forgetting how to speak in arias or was it simply the state this one was.

They don’t ask. It’s been so long since they were home. They can’t mess this up. They can’t tell their mind unless told to, not like they did when talking to humans. It’s just humans after all. They didn’t matter.

...not as much as other astras, at least.

Fun fact, I started drawing cause I struggle to visualise things in my head and I really wanted to “see” my characters doing batshit crazy stuff.

And these are 1) my recent (finished) art and 2) the first one I uploaded here.

First one was actually from artfight which makes me think that if I would be able to participate this year, I probably should experiment with more colours to get it away from this purple hue.

Ironic that these two aren't my characters but at least it shows the progression.

First of, hello new people, welcome!! ,')

Second, I have so many things I wanna draw that it honestly feels jarring. Like I really wanted to draw councils from blocktales, more stuff on nullscape, leader board (tadc), maybe even stuff with great god grove cuz the game is peak.

All that while I'm low-key rushing with my ocs art for competition and simply before my motivation runs out. Sigh
