The kimono. A traditional Japanese garment worn by men, women and children. Straight-line-cut kimonos offered many advantages, they were easy to fold, they were also suitable for all weather, they could be worn in layers to provide warmth in winter, and kimonos made of breathable fabric like linen such as the outer layer of this one were comfortable in summer.  This beautiful indigo dyed piece is from our own collection.
