avatar (james cameron)’s main impact was that when u say avatar in reference to the cartoon ppl get confused about whether ur talking about the cartoon or the james cameron movie
Who is the best SW character and why is it TR-8R?
Everyday life on the star destroyer is very important to me
Also, on Jakku:
I am 100% positive that Disney was trying to make Phasma the next Boba Fett.
A character who is visually interesting, but has very little lines, and doesn’t really do much, yet somehow develops a huge fan following. They thought they had the formula. “Cool design. Mysterious and bad-ass”, they thought that was the golden formula.
Then this guy shows up.
sean bean: more like because i was in that secret meeting
Denial phase: over. Make other people feel bad to feel better phase: starting now.
SLOW THE FUCK DOWN SATAN
That day, Vader was amazed to discover that when Boba was saying “As you wish”, what he meant was, “I love you.”
#have been laughing for approximately 5000 years at this joke #oh my god #that is hilarious #i am trying so hard not to laugh out loud in the office
Well this is just the best thing ever.
OH SHIT
is this why the show was taken off nick?
So this is what air benders can do. Sucking the air out of people’s lungs. Just as cool as lightening bending if you ask me
No I don’t think you guys understand this is frightening
Airbenders are pretty much the most powerful benders. A firebender has to create fire. A waterbender is most powerful on the open seas as much as an earthbender is on land. But air is literally everywhere.
The Air Nomads weren’t dangerous because they chose not to be.
you’vE GONE TOO DEEP
Hey, HOLD UP.
While I agree that Airbenders do have a lot of power at their exposure, they aren’t the only ones.
Waterbenders can bend any type of fluid containing water, even blood inside the human body! That’s pretty fucking metal.
They can also take the water vapor out of the air, use their own sweat or even drain the water out of every living thing nearby.
Imagine that ^^ happening to a person..
Next we have fire, the element of destruction. Like Airbenders, they can use the air around them, and transfer it into energy. Firebenders can bend or generate anything fire/ heat related. That means lightning, flames, or extreme heat that has the potential to shape its environment (such as melt molten rock and metal.) Even fire breath!
Next we have Earth. Earthbenders can bend anything related or comprised of Earth, such as metal, rock, dirt, sand, etc. EVEN LAVA. Anything mineral related? You got it. Admittedly, minerals- although extremely easy to come by, are not as present as water or air. But there sure is enough to make use of, and we can’t say Earthbenders aren’t powerful!
This guy just stopped a volcano.
Not only are they powerful, but they are also graceful.
And I mean look at this! Avatar Kyoshi Earthbends a freaking continent in HALF!
In conclusion, fear all benders.
#BEST SCENE
the fall of azula is one of the best written story arcs in cartoon history and i will stand by this comment forever
you know another thing i really love about this scene? despite knowing their martial art and acrobatic prowess, azula still underestimated and looked down on mai and ty lee. the audience knows mai has the precision to cut and kill—and she was ready to do it. but ty lee chose to disarm and temporarily paralyze azula with the one tool she always has at her disposal (firebending) with two unsuspectingly swift hits. those skillsets are terrifying. people kept saying they (nonbenders) were mediocre compared to benders but atla made sure non-benders could be just as much of a threat as any bender.
What I like about this scene is how it proves that Azula isn’t as untouchable as we all think-her included. I remember that when I was a kid, I was shitless scared of Azula. She seemed so powerful, so strong, so invincible… Throughout the show we see her defeat opponent after opponent without even flinching. We are lead to believe that she’s unstoppable… and I think she believes this too. She thinks of herself as unbeatable. The ultimate human weapon. She forgets that she is human too, and that her strength relies in her comrades.
When the two pillars were she was supporting her power go against her, she litarlly falls. A graceless and weak fall. This proves to the audience (and more important, it proves to Azula) that she isn’t untouchable. She just as human as any other folk. I think this is what eventually leads her to paranoia and mental instability. All that she believed she was suddenly fell apart with two swift moves of Ty Lee.
