I think my time on this website has come to an end. I really appreciate the random friendships that came out of having this profile. I hope you all have wonderful lives and continue to be rockstars on and off this site. Top 3 moments/days/events from the past month?

Oh man, the past month has been a doozy.

1. Easy. I have seen multiple ultrasounds of my daughter 😍 can’t wait to meet her soon!

2. Got out of an absolutely horrible job where I was surrounded by multiple, multiple toxic people.

3. Had a chance to reconnect with some old friends and having the texts from them here and there has been fantastic.

Ok, AMA thing: D What tv series you watch now/watched recently and reccomebd?

I’ve been watching through Kim’s Convenience lately, and it’s been really good so far! Super bummed that they cancelled it, but it seems like that happens to the better shows out there.

Otherwise I finished Schitt’s Creek for maybe the 7th time? No shame???

If you’re looking for a drama suggestion, I’ve been rewatching House as well, lately. Haven’t really watched a new drama in a while, just waiting for the next season of Better Call Saul to come out on Netflix.

Today was the first day in over two years I’ve allowed myself to listen to “Floating in the Forth” by Frightened Rabbit. Those of you familiar with the song likely know why, those of you who don’t know it: it’s largely autobiographical of Scott’s struggles with depression and a pull towards suicide. He’s discussed it during interviews before, saying “I’ve gone 90 percent of the way through that song in real life.”

I’ve been quick to skip it anytime it came up on shuffle over the last two years, not thinking I’d be able to handle realizing he finally went through the last 10% of the song. It’s unreal that we can feel such deep connections to people we have only a cursory interaction with as a listener to a musician. I was fortunate enough to meet him once and get a picture with him. We shared a few jokes and I think I stumbled through some sort of statement about how much his music meant to me, but it’s all a bit fuzzy, now.

I still comb through his lyrics every day, searching for little truths I have missed during the previous 3,000 listens of each song. Just a random place to voice my thoughts on the incredibly sad death the world of music experienced. If anyone ever wants to talk about Frightened Rabbit or Scott Hutchison or thoughts of suicide...Jesus, if anyone wants to talk about anything, please send me a message and I’ll be around.
