The parallel between the end of the first episode when they're eating and it's this big feast where they all have the same food and they're all sitting in a line and they can't all look at each other and in order to talk they have to literally talk over one another

Versus the end of the last episode they all have something different on their plates and they're sitting in a circle where they can all participate in conversation with one another and no one's isolated and they're a family-

Ok so I’ve had a bit of time to process and my thoughts are this:

It was good! It was more or less what I was expecting, Jax abstracting and Caine coming back to life were predictable (not saying it was bad just that it was obvious that it would happen).

We finally know everyone’s real names which is super cool!! Pomni being named Abigail totally fits her and I love that I share a name with zooble that was so awesome.

Ribbit is one of my favorite characters. I loved her despite how little screen time she got. I loved seeing glimpses of her and Kaufmo and what life in the circus was like before Jax became a total asshole.

I actually really enjoyed finally getting Jax lore. It was great it was dramatic it was not what I was expecting and the whole scene with him and ribbit and the bow was amazing (also I thought ribbit expressions were a LOT like pomnis but anyway)

That being said, I’m not a big fan of how the show gave us so much Jax and so little pomni. And I don’t mean just the finale, I mean the entire show in general. It felt like the longer the show went on, the less pomni was a main character and more of a character who existed to further Jax’s character arc. I feel that way about the other characters too; I wish we got more focus on the other characters in previous episodes and while I understand they aren’t main characters and therefore their backstories may not be as relevant to the plot, but it matters to me personally. I wanted more on zooble. I wanted more on gangle. But mostly I just wanted more on pomni.

Pomni was done dirty imo (which could be a biased take since she’s my favorite character). I feel like out of all the characters who aren’t Jax, we should’ve gotten more on her but we kind of didn’t unless it was in relation to Jax. And while I understand that there are only nine total episodes, I feel like if goose was able to dedicate so much time in developing Jax’s story in that short span of time she could’ve made an effort to give us some more on the other characters.

I also wish we could’ve gotten more information about C&A and Abel and all that because one of the most compelling elements about this story to me was that whole aspect of it.

Um but yeah overall I think I’d give it like an 8/10, it was a good finale don’t get me wrong there’s just a lot of stuff that I personally thought could’ve been done better but then again I’m not really surprised by how it came out.
