It’s the 20th Anniversary of RENT!

Twenty years ago RENT where it would become the eleventh longest-running Broadway show. During it’s stay on the stage RENT claimed critical acclaim and won awards.

RENT claimed a Tony for Best Musical in 1996. The same year they received a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Musical and a Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

In over 5000 productions, RENT grossed over $280 million during their run on Broadway. The movie netted them over 30 million and sits, cherished, in the homes of many fans.

So huzzah for RENT and everything it gave me. <3
