I'd die for you...(Closed Event post)
Having Miroku in front of her was comforting, however it was also discomforting. The air around them seemed different, almost distrustful as he held her hands. She wanted to run away now before anything else could make her feel uncomfortable; too many things wrong with their current situation.
Miroku was too calm, too resisting in some form, and this confused her. Something about the monk was off, something clearly obvious and unsettling. He wasn’t his normal self, his hands merely on her own and no where else. Those hands weren’t wandering like she was used to them doing; like they had a mind or their own, exploring her nether regions and her breasts. No, something was wrong, very wrong.
Although she had accepted the small chaste kiss placed on her lips, she did not return it. Everything felt off to her, like something terrible was going to happen. The same feelings arising within her, those same feelings she experienced when Kohaku had— Sango’s eyes widened suddenly before she shoved Miroku away with such force she almost fell backwards herself.
Her gaze locked on Miroku in absolute disbelief. Miroku had seriously been trying to— no… Sango felt bile rise in her throat with the sick feeling that washed over her. How on earth had he really thought she could pull something like that? She wanted to vomit at the thought of it. To kill Miroku? How could she even do that? He had protected her so many times and she had protected him too; the thought of killing him after all their time spent together…
{“Is that why you’re here?!”}
{“You want me to kill you?! Is that it?!”}
Sango wasn’t angry, no it wasn’t that at all. She was upset and ready to break down. Miroku had been trying to get her to kill him; the blade at his side an obvious factor of this. He had almost slipped the blade into her fingers and now she was furious with him about it. However not in the sense that she was mad, more so she was upset with the idea he thought he could easily get her to do that without her noticing.
{“I can’t believe you would actually come to me after being absent for so long just for this! Miroku how can you just expect me too—”} She trailed off, dropping her head a bit unable to really look at the monk anymore. This was far more upsetting than she was letting on, or was she letting Miroku know perfectly? Hell if she knew anymore, she was far too upset to even speak much at all. Either way she couldn’t bring herself to look at him or even speak with him, choosing to turn on her heels and walk away from him a bit.
Sango could feel the tears welling up more so than before. What could she do? They both had quite the predicament on them, however all she could think about was wishing Miroku hadn’t come to her… not now at least. At the moment she wished Miroku had never shown up, never had arrived in Arcadios and had never been subjected to this event— Had she seen this coming? Not particularly, however she had some bad feelings something would occur between them… she just wished it didn’t have to be like this.
Miroku accepted her anger at him. It was just right, after all. Despite their squabbles and the like, they obviously still loved each other so. Otherwise, why would Sango accept his love for her so willingly? Even the kiss she accepted without so much as a push away was proof enough. So when Sango finally pushed Miroku away, he did his best to keep a calm head. He knew that she would act this way. After all, it was selfish for him to request this of her. Even if she pushed the knife into his own abdomen with her hand, it would possibly traumatize her completely. But the way he saw it, he could either do this or allow her to die. And he wasn't about to let the love of his life go down.
Miroku sighed when he finally stepped up to defend himself. "Yes Sango: It's true..." He admitted at last. "The way I see it though, we only have two options: You can cut through my hole hand and we can get sucked up together in a world of nothingness or..." He paused, trying his best to word his next sentence correctly. "...Or you can kill me and live your life to the fullest." He sighed for a moment and grabbed the knife that fell from his hand once Sango pushed him. Blood gushed out from his sleeve, as he'd accidentally stabbed himself in the process, but he picked up the object still. With a polite smile, he handed her the knife and said carefully. "But I can't let you choose, Sango. Though I want you to live your life, I can't let you choose."
"So please...choose what's best for you. But know that I love and support you despite. Even if I was never a the best partner for you to begin with. ...For that, I'm sorry." He gave poor Sango the look of an animal in pain just waiting to be put out of its' misery.
