Movin’ blogs!

                Hello, everyone. So life and schedules has taken a toll, and keeping up with as many blogs as I have has become ... hard, to say the least. Does this mean I am abandoning this blog? HELL NAH! In order to make things easier on myself I am moving all my comic muses to a single new multi-muse blog: @ourwandcrlust. The blog is still under construction, but it is open! Here, you will find my OCs AND some canon portrayals! I hope you all go over there so that we can keep what we have goin’ going!

               Abandoned buildings were the best for his work, humans would be out of the way so he didn’t have to hold back any. Plus the bureau wouldn’t get on him again for another public appearance since they were doing their best to keep him a secret. Albeit a poorly hidden one half of the time. But wrecking his way through the office was rather cathartic, no stress just some ass kicking. Once he managed to beat it into submission he pulled it’s gun and blew it’s brains out.

“Target neutralized. Can’t we ever deal with more attractive creatures? This thing was ugly before I put a hole in it’s face.”

                            While Hellboy was out by the building, taking care of those ugly sons of bitches, Deita was in the safe solitude of the van - not too far off - with her equipment. She had droids flying overhead, scanning the abandoned buildings; monitors on her left showed its exterior, whilst her other little scanners were on the inside, and the monitors there were to her right. “ No further sightings of life on the exterior of the building, ” she said, formerly, before falling back into her natural tone. “ Think about t like this, they make you look better. ”

                           Leaning back in her chair, Deita’s dark eyes continued to rove over the monitors before her, before relaxing to the flask on the desk. “ It doesn’t look like there’s anything inside. You want to double check or do you want to go drink ? ”

( ✧ .・゜゜ Not that she needed another one after the two that she’d just shovelled down her throat. She was going to suffer in the morning when she had to quadruple her run time to get rid of the calories. She wasn’t even sure that she even WANTED the cake… it was more a ploy to talk to the pretty girl.

                           Deita was not one for sweets - well, then again, she was not one for food. She had an unfortunate habit of neglecting her health, due to her work, the late nights, and the tremendous migraines she received from it. But for whatever reason, Deita felt like she could actually acknowledge her health, via cheap coffee and a cheaper doughnut, both of which were untouched before her as she massaged her head.

                           At the sound of the girl’s voice, Deita glanced up. “ Now that depends, will your phone on airplane mode for a doughnut ? ” she asked, as the activity of the phone was giving her a headache.

                           The other’s silence could have meant a lot of things, but Daisy understood how big a deal this had to be to Deita. The brunetta had read the woman’s file enough times to know she wasn’t much of a people’s person. Not that she could blame the technopath. If Daisy hadn’t had her friends and her team, she never would have made it to this point.

“ Yep,” she smirked, not one bit bothered by the other’s look. “ Ever heard of Quake ? ” There was no real smugness on her face though, the agent not really thinking herself better than anyone else, but she had been amused by the other’s sarcasm. It reminded her so much of herself. “ Why do you think we need you ? ”

                           Deita arched her brow, taking a brief moment to appreciate the full gravity of this woman’s abilities. She was a fighter, something that Deita admired in others; it meat they were survivors, took no shit. Daisy seemed to be that. “ At least you have some credibility under your belt, aside from being a witness spewing over your little club, ” she mused, with a scoff.

                           Another scoff. “ I think you need me because you’ve either gotten yourselves into some deep shit you can’t get out of, or there’s something you want to get into. Either way, there’s shit that needs to be done, ” she noted. “ Tell me if I’m wrong. ”

               “I try not to. But do you have someone to take you home                 once you’re drunk?”

It wasn’t his business. Hell, he could just finish his drink and leave her to forget whatever it was that she wanted to forget. It wasn’t going to be his problem anymore once he walked out of the bar. But he wondered if she was his sister. Or daughter. Or a female friend. He would have wanted someone to make sure she got home okay, even if she looked like she could take care of herself.

                 “Not trying to pry or anything, but…you know. Best be extra                   paranoid than extra dead.”

Thomas took a few sips of his Coke and asked for a bowl of peanuts as well. He started to skin a few pieces, placing the brown skins on the napkin beside the bowl.

                          “ Take me home ... ? No, normally I go along                             on my merry way. At this point if someone                             wanted to bludgeon my head in over my wallet                             I’d be cool with it. ”

                There was partial truth and a partial lie to her statement. Living was not exactly her highest priority, particularly since she was being hunted down by a murderous psychopath, but at the same time ... she did not want to be vulnerable at the off chance he showed up. Besides, she had a nice plant in her kitchen to take care of. The little things.

                         “ Worried about me already ? Don’t worry, beating                             the odds is my unspoken hobby. ”

                She took another shot, feeling the scorching liquid slide down her throat, dulling the ache in her chest. At least she was in the company of someone who cared for once. That was refreshing.

He smirked softly, “Little of both. My family has money but i’ve been doing as much of it on my own as possible.” He lead her to the office, “I try not to be the cliche rich boy.” If there was one thing he hated it was that his success was often linked to his families wealth.

                          Deita shrugged. “ Good for you, Richie Rich,  not many can say that, ” she drawled, following after him. She glanced around the room, noticing the surveillance cameras, and decided not to turn them off. “ So how do you want to go about this ? Do you want to leave me to it, stick around, or do you not trust me alone with your stuff ? ”

The brunette used the short silence on the other end to recap what her mission was. Fleischer’s goal maybe was to challenge Fisk at some point and maybe that’s what made it personal for her. Luckily, there hadn’t yet been an encounter with the Kingpin just yet but she’d heard enough from the peopleshe occasionally worked with about him. Just the thought of the riot that would take place if those two megalomaniac men would face each other was enough reason to start with him. She hadlearned from the mistakes of the others – well better to say, she admitted to herself that she wasn’t yet up to deal with him. Especially not alone.

Sure, Deita did help her and at this point, the vigilante couldn’t be more happy about that because she knew that Fleischer wouldn’t be the easiest to conquer. It actually was the first time she worked with a hacker. It was after she had to convince herself hence the last job failed miserably. With just a little bit of luck, she made it out alive. But with this one, she had no other coice and since Deita had a fantastic reputation in this line of work, Mae tried again. The thought process ended as the other female moved and cut the silence.

Hands slid into the pockets of her leather jacket. “The sooner we get to it the better.” A nod.

                           Deita shifted in place. “ So if you’re going to go back to my place, then there need to be some rules about that, ” she said. “ It’s not really the most secure place, nor the most secretive ... but I’m going to need to  blindfold you over which apartment I’m in. Not because I don’t trust you, but I don’t. ”

                             Technically speaking Mae had given her no reason not to trust her, but Deita did not share such connections so easily. In her experience - personal and professional - she had faced adversaries who sought to abuse any sort of connection they may have had with her. Before she could stop it, the face of her brother flashed through her eyes, coated in the blood of their father, with a smile on his face. Don’t worry, I’ll take care of you, he said.

                             Goddamn it. Thinking about those days was not going to get her anywhere, especially since she had a client waiting on her. Snorting in distaste, Deita shook her head and began to walk forward. “ Come on, ” she heaved out, waving her to follow her. Her stride was long and unevenly paced, but she expected that Mae would be able to keep up well enough. “ My place isn’t shiny or glittering with lollipops and rainbows, so don’t expect much. ”
