Hello! My name is Ren, and my FR username is Dathir. I've been playing FR for 7.5 years, and I've got absolutely no plans of stopping anytime soon!

I currently own a Flight Rising discord server, Flight Haven, and it's where I spend most of my time communicating about the site, but I've recently been wanting to share more elsewhere!

So, anyway, here's my current goals:

Save up money for projects

Breeding projects for XXY Garnet/Shale & XXY Garnet/Obsidian

Acquire new familiars (Fiona feats & coli bosses mostly)

Get new achievements (passive goal)

Get new vistas (passive goal)

XXY Garnet Project

Read my previous post here

So, with the breeding part of the project being out of the way, I was finally able to start buying the genes!

March was a super busy month for me, so I wasn't playing much, but now just 2 weeks into April, I've done a lot more than I expected to

The dragons started out looking like this:

And now that I've been playing consistently, they look like this:

Both dragons are equipped with Auraboa, Flaunt, and Flair scrolls! The final piece of the puzzle is 2 Koi genes, which is a total of 1,000 gems

I'll probably take a chiller from these two for a moment and start buying some genes for other projects (of which I have many), but I want to finish these guys by the end of summer, ideally!

XXY Garnet Breeding Project

Here is where I'm going to keep all of my yapping relating to this breeding project- lets start!

The Goals:

XXY Garnet/Shale - Flaunt/Flair/Koi

XXY Garnet/Obsidian - Flaunt/Flair/Koi

Currently, these color combinations basically don't exist on site, which is SUPER fun for me and my desires in life! I have messaged 1 person who owns an XXY Garnet/Shale, but I doubt they'll reply/sell, which is super valid!

So, with that being said, here are my current breeding pairs!

Pair 1 - XXY Garnet/Shale goal

XXY Sanguine/Black and XYZ Crimson/Cherry/Orca

Prim range = 3 colors

Sec range = 4 colors

Tert range = 14 colors

The tert is, understandably, the biggest issue here! My first nest from this pair didn't give me anything remotely close to my goal, so we will persist

Pair 2 - XXY Garnet/Obsidian goal

XYZ Sanguine/Blood/Obsidian and XXY Crimson/Obsidian

Prim range = 3 colors

Sec range = 4 colors

Tert range = 0 colors

Tert is much better in this pair, and the prim & sec aren't too bad, so this is the pair I am not worrying about; I'll probably get my correct result from this pair first, and then I'll be able to include a sex in the Shale pairing requirements, since the goal is to make them a breeding pair

Pricing

Altogether, this shouldn't be a super expensive project, mainly since I'm hosting all of the breeding in my own lair

Aura breed changes: 550kt

Flaunt genes: 200kt

Flair genes: 165kt

Koi genes: 1kg

Total: 915kt & 1kg

So in short, for 2 dragons, a lot cheaper than most of my other projects!

An update:

To my shock, the owner of the XXY Garnet/Shale that I contacted agreed to sell for 75g! So now I’m just waiting for them to finish off the CR trade, and I’ll have one half of this project acquired

Not having to breed that pair is the best case scenario, as their range is a lot bigger than the Garnet/Obsidian pair has

A final breeding update:

My breeding pair for XXY Garnet/Obsidian produced the correct colors and pose on their second nest!

Now I can focus on saving money and purchasing the proper genes!! Coli here I come
