Story: After both her parents died during the Omnic crisis, Rachel took her pain and loss out on the world, with her high I.Q she managed to fashion herself a pair of power gauntlets from military tech found among her fathers belongings. She led a small gang of misfits called the 'Rapture' against both the Omnics and the authorities. Gaining the attention of Blackwatch the sub division of Overwatch led by Gabriel Reyes (Reaper). Rapture was quickly disbanded after Reyes defeated Rachel, only when she was apprehended did he realise who she was.Â
During Rachel's trial she managed to convince the judge that she was responsible for Rapture's actions, allowing the former members to get off on light punishments. Reyes pulled some heavy strings, thanks to his status and contacts, he managed to get Rachel to carry out her sentence as a member of Blackwatch. She refused at first until she realised that Reyes was actually her uncle. Rachel trained under both Reyes and Mccree, she looked up to her uncle as her new found but strict hero and Mcree was like a father figure to her. Rachel also had access to technology beyond her wildest dreams, she enhanced her power gauntlets and created a complete battle suit but felt it to be too claustrophobic, instead settled for a pair of power boots.Â
Just before Overwatch was disbanded, Rachel had been dismissed by Morrison, for reckless abandonment and failure to follow orders. She left with no complaint except arguing the fact that Overwatch was holding her back anyway.Â
Years later Reyes (now Reaper) sought out Rachel and convinced her to join him and work for Talon. She has a growing resentment for Mccree for betraying her uncle and Morrison for dismissing her.Â
