there’s been a terrorist attack in christchurch, white supremacists, what now appear to be an organised cell of 4 (and perhaps more, one member talked of 10 before the attacks on social media), attacked multiple mosques during prayers. 30 are feared to be dead. from my understanding there have been several car bombs that have been disarmed since. one of the attackers livestreamed the attack and said “subscribe to pewdiepie” before he began firing.

one of the attackers posted a manifesto online, both on his twitter and 8chan, it’s full of ironic nazi memery, claiming the terrorist attack was a partisan action against an invading and occupying force and laying the blame for his radicalisation at the feet of the communications director of turning point usa, candace owens. he self describes as an eco fascist.

the manifesto also specifically states that the attacks would not kill police (except ones of “invader backgrounds”) if it could be avoided, as they believe they’ve “remained loyal” to “the people”.

in the days before the attack the man also posted pictures of his clearly illegal weapons on twitter, covered in various fascist slogans including the 14 words, statements about the UN migrant pact and the names of various battles between the habsburgs and the ottoman empire, as well as the names of mass murderers of the past.

the new zealand police are refusing to acknowledge at this time the political nature of the terrorist attack, nor label it a terrorist attack despite the manifesto of the cell being publicly available online, which states unequivocally that this was both a terrorist attack and a political statement.

not three hours since the attacks there is already agitation to expand the power of new zealand’s surveillance state despite talk that the arrested individuals were already known to the authorities prior to the attacks and they had the ability to act accordingly with current powers but they simply thought them low priority, focusing instead on left-wing political agitators.

This post seems highly inflammatory - especially now that a public address has been made by our PM stating that it was a terrorist attack, that the suspects were not known to police and I have seen no significant statements that indicate official plans to increasing surveillance in my country.

An official address was made less than 2 hours ago - the shooters were active 7 hours ago and only apprehended within the last 4 hours (estimated, actual time unknown). 

What exactly were you hoping that the government/police would do? The information you are sharing here was not in any MSM reports (and still hasn’t been presented to my knowledge). 

You are escalating outrage - Even if I personally agree with the values you are sharing, what the fuck are you trying to do here??  NZ police are currently posted outside mosques all over New Zealand. The PM has been in emergency meeting ever since the event started. 4 suspects are in custody and ALIVE. Emergency service are on hand and even in surplus to respond to this crisis. Efforts are being made to reconnect families and action is being taken to ensure the safety of all New Zealanders. People are even starting to place flowers at other mosques around the country.

Calm the fuck down and wait untill we no more, please...

If tomorrow it turns out that all of what you have brought up is true, that we were fucked over by big government and better action should have been taken, then I will boost your message from the every corner of social media
