Shinbaku nation, I can totally see Shinsou and Bakugou on a date at a coffee shop or something and a fan does NOT read the vibe and interrupts them like

“Excuse me, sir?”

“Huh?”

“Are you Dynamight?”

Bakugou’s mouth snaps shut and his brows knit together, searching his own mind for what to say.

“Sorry, who?” Hitoshi cuts in before Bakugou can answer.

The girl visibly deflates, “Pro hero Dynamight?”

Hitoshi presses his lips together in a polite half smile. He taps his chin, “sorry I don’t think I’ve ever heard of him, I don’t keep up with all that pro hero stuff.” He waves a hand dismissively. Hitoshi turns away from the girl to make direct eye contact with Bakugou.

Bakugou picks up his coffee and mumbles, “never heard of him,” before taking a long drawn out sip.

“Really?” The girl pulls out her phone and produces a photo of Bakugou in his hero costume, face contorted in anger and surrounded by orange sparks. A very typical mid-fight picture of Bakugou. Except for the fact that this photo has been heavily edited to pale the color palette. She’s also added glitter and hearts all around him, and little drawn on cat ears. “Well you look just like him.”

Hitoshi looks back at the girls phone. “Can I see that?” He asks. She nods and hands him the phone. He holds it up next to Bakugous face. He’s scowling deeply. “Ya know I think I see something similar in the eyes but otherwise I just don’t get the resemblance, sorry.” He shrugs and hands the phone back. He turns to Bakugou and says, “sweetie if you keep making that face it’ll get stuck like that.” Bakugou scowls harder.

“Right… well uhm... sorry about that… have a nice day?” The girl hikes her bag higher on her shoulder and walks away.

yes communication is important, but being in a situation where you constantly have to over-communicate every single thing in order to get listened and tended to is draining and kills romance. a huge part of intimacy and connection is feeling seen and understood by the other person – them being attuned to your needs, feelings, desires, and knowing who you are as a person on a deeper level, is a sign of love. being with someone who is thoughtless and inconsiderate and constantly has to have everything spelled out to them, will leave you feeling invisible and unloved. yes people aren’t mind readers and its good to talk about stuff but someone who just doesn’t think of you or understand basic things that would make you happy, isn’t a good partner.
