Joe quickly stood from the wore in squeaking swivel chair, the call didn't disconnect. But a heated fear rose in his chest, he knew something was very wrong. He would have to act fast so no harm would come to the young woman.

Detective Baylor then hurried off to his patrol car and started to call off his personal phone to the other officers in the area that her call was pinging off of.

In an hushed voice the detective spoke

"Everything will alright help is on the way.

Baylor then speed through the

busy city, Dodging many other vehicles in his way. His nerves were completely on edge needing to rescue her

As Joe sat his desk ready to pack up and head back to the empty apartment... the phone suddenly the light lit up red and the phone began to ring loudly.

For a moment Joe thought about just letting the next guy get it... but then he rolled his tired eyes and answered the phone.

"911, what is your emergency?

Joe listen to the silence for a brief moment before he could hear the muffled cries and deep breaths of a woman who had to be in trouble.

"This is officer Baylor, are you in trouble?

The other officers went quite as their eyes peered over to the older officer who had a serious tone to his voice. Knowing that something must have happened

Joe sat his desk tapping his fingers along the wooden desk, other officers made small talk amongst themselves about thier wife and children as the phone rang off the hook.

His mind then went to his very own daughter... his ex wife ended up getting full custody of their small daughter.

Of course Joe's heart was broken and he missed her dearly. He lost his home his family...everything.

Going home to an empty apartment every night had made his heart grow cold, he didn't care for others company....

His shut his stormy blue eyes as he ran his large hands through his freshly cut hair letting out an tire sigh
