“I’m not going anywhere.” Brian replied, choosing not to reply to the rest of her words. He ought to have known by now that getting hurt by Anastasia’s decisions was wrong, as it was almost a routine for them and the girl had made sure to make no promises. Maybe he needed to stop being so hopeful for something different all the time. Looking down at her hand, Brian nodded before pulling back and walking towards the entrance. “We should go somewhere, I’m kind of bored right now.” He suggested, wanting nothing more than to distract himself for the next couple of hours.
It wouldn’t have taken someone with Ana’s level of familiarity to her best friend to know that he was bothered by what had just happened, as Anastasia knew that much without any effort. “Come here,” she murmured softly, tugging him closer to her as she kissed his jawline softly. “I’m sorry,” she whispered against his skin, a shallow breath leaving her lips as she pulled away. She frowned slightly as she heard his words, arms crossing over her chest as her gaze found his. “If you’re bored right now, you don’t have to hang out with me. I didn’t know a date was the only thing that could keep you properly satisfied.”
