Hello all and welcome to my blog! My name is Da'vion, and I am an entrepreneurial spirit! (Admitting it is the 1st step lol) For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to work for myself and/or own a business. When I was 12, the only magazines that I read were about business opportunities! (Ok...I had a subscription to all of the video game mags too) That desire to work for myself has followed me well into adulthood. My first venture started back in 06, when I saw an ad on television. It was an infomercial for a "BRAND NEW, INNOVATIVE ENERGY VITAMIN THAT IS TAKING THE WORLD BY STORM." (lol) I didn't see too much of an opportunity in it, but I still signed up, because I would be able to work for myself. The company went out of business a few weeks later! =\ My next business I tried was genuinely meant to help people. I had discovered a way to track unclaimed funds, and my job was to help people recover them. It was okay for the most part, but I had to deal with way too many cynical people. One day, I just decided to step away from it and try something different. While attending school for photography, I came across many people who were promoting various legitimate businesses. At first I was introduced to ACN. The company and product seemed OKAY, but I didn't like the image, or that $500 ticket!!! =\ The next business was introduced to me by a good friend, and I immediately wanted more information. The company was called Pre-Paid Legal. They had a low start-up cost, a great product, and a really good support system. I tried, and tried, with this company, and although I had a great upline we eventually grew apart. My time with Pre-Paid Legal had come to an end, but it wouldn't be for too long. One night, while out at the club, my friend J.R. (who had been bothering me for weeks) introduced me to his friend K.C. K.C. was a senior regional leader with a company called Primerica. I had never heard of it before, but being an entrepreneurial spirit, I was open to take a look. I found myself in a meeting, similar to those in ACN and PPL, and everything that Primerica had to offer made ABSOLUTE sense. One thing that REALLY caught my attention was that Pre-Paid Legal was partnered with Primerica! I joined immediately and started building as fast as I could. I recruited people, obtained my license, and went on personal appointments like crazy in the beginning. By my second month in the business, I was already a District Leader. Things eventually slowed down for me after my upline (J.R.) left and my recruits fell off for personal reasons, however I continued to stick around, because I truly believed in the company. (Plus, you don't need a team to make money) I am currently in the process of getting my licenses back. (expired) Around June of this year, I was "forced" to join WUN (Wake Up Now) by my friends Javan and Jen, which I didn't mind because I was open. WUN is an OKAY company, with a great opportunity built around savings. The only thing that makes it just OKAY (imo) is the model. Before joining I told them that I had a lot on my plate and that I wouldn't be able to devote a lot of time. I was not able to reach the 1-month goal of D3 in time and had to pay $100 additional, just to see the same results! My upline, who was fairly inexperienced, got discouraged and walked away. I plan on going back to it when the time is right, but for now my focus is elsewhere. Currently, I am promoting, building, and training in MCA (Motor Club of America). I like MCA, because of the product, the commission, and the way that it lends itself to online marketing. The only drawback is that a lot of people in MCA (online marketers) recruit then disappear. I plan on bringing about a change to that aspect of the business. Although I only started marketing MCA earlier this week, I am confident that I will be able to build something great, and will also be able to help others do the same. I've come a long way since the beginning of my journey, but it is far from over. Follow me as I continue my struggle to the top!
