Idk man the one thing that makes me dislike this site is the way people will sniff for mistakes like a shark for blood just to be all haughty and snooty
Like idk man people make mistakes
Like some weeks back a white coworker called a raccoon a "coon" and instead of jumping to racist conclusions I was just like "oh you can't say that it's an old slur for us" and we was like genuinely sorry. Like. People make mistakes. Not everyone on the internet is going to be like. Evil.
Maybe one day we can stop moralizing the concept of privilege & everyone will get normaler about being told they have relative privilege over other people. Like literally everyone everywhere in some way. It's fine. Being aware of it can't hurt you
There's such an endless chorus of outraged "but what if I'm poor? What if I'm autistic" and it's like. Ok. You're not getting this at all let's just start over
Dont blame yourself for not having known a lesson only time could teach
if vampires existed in real life i think there would be shady companies advertising "organic blood" sourced from "willing donors" who are coincidentally all poor people being paid like $5 per blood donation. and like haughty vegan vampires who only drink a synthetic blood drink thats brewed in a way thats actively worse for the enviroment. and radical traditionalist vampires who go on tiktok and claim that true alpha chads have to drain and kill people and anyone who leaves their victims alive is a liberal cuck. enter the world of hypothetical insufferable vampire politics with me.
sometimes you see Takes™ that make you go "mmmhmmm okay yeah i see we both interpreted that differently based on what the show gave us, but i see how you arrived at your ideas even if they're different from mine," and then sometimes you see Takes™ that make you go "brother what show did you even fucking watch"
Evanescence: These wounds won’t seem to heal, this pain is just too real, There’s just too much that time cannot erase

Laughing at this again today. My piece of shit wuppyog?!
"i know this show was made for children but i enjoy it too." > awesome and cool. watch whatever you want forever.
"i know it LOOKS like it was made for children but its SECRETLY for us. calling it a kids show is an insult cause kids could never understand these THEMES and EMOTIONS. we're the TRUE fans." > i dont think i trust your opinions. you seem lame as fuck.
everyone post your biggest hear me outs my friend just showed me two conventionally attractive white men in a row i need to teach him what a real hear me out is
.world's largest excavator- nay, world's largest vehicle- the bagger 288
.also, scale reference! just the wheel is 70 feet in diameter
'here's a real hear me out' >>posts world's most conventionally attractive piece of machinery

Yeah neopronouns arent a new fangled concept gen z came up with btw
That wasn't even the first gender neutral pronoun in English. John Trevisa, a 14th century writer, used 'a' as a gender neutral pronoun (instead of he or heo (she)). 'Thon', a contraction for 'that one', was also proposed as a gender neutral pronoun by an American attorney and composer in 1858.
William H. Marshall wrote about Trevisa in 1789, and also recorded the existence of a dialectal English epicene pronoun, singular ou: '"Ou will" expresses either he will, she will, or it will.'
Looking at the Wikipedia page for Spivak pronouns shows a bunch of attempts at gender neutral pronouns in the intervening years too, starting at 1890 (e, es, em) and moving forward.
(Also gen z are being blamed for neopronouns now? I thought it was us millennials at fault? Have they just done a find+replace for everything that they blamed millennials for and switched the subject of their ire?)
yup, wasn't long ago they blamed Gen X, and before that it was just "feminists"
generational wank endures
