Just a small oneshot about you piecing together your feelings for your boyfriend.

After a concert
You are just so incredibly proud of all the boys. They’ve worked so hard since day one, they’ve put up with horrible situations that they did not deserve in the slightest, and yet every single obstacle thrown their way never became a reason for them to give up or lower their heads.
You are obviously beyond proud of your boyfriend. It’s funny how you’re still not sure how your relationship started. You just loved your job, being a make-up stylist for artists. Of course you were warned, you knew that your livelihood was on the line if you started any kind of relationship with one of the boys, but it just happened! You honestly never planned to fall so head over heels for him, and you never could’ve expected that he’d fall for you too.
Destiny has a funny way of doing things, you guess. Haha, like that one time where the make-up brush accidently slipped inside his nostril and then “ACHOO!!” all in your face. Gosh, he got so embarrassed, it was too cute. He tried to wipe the sneeze off your face with a tissue, and he was so gentle about it too.
Or that other time when you had turned to the make-up station to grab what you needed, but at the same time as you turned back around, he approached the prep chair and bumped into you. You were surprised and almost fell on top of the station were it not for his arms wrapping quickly round your shoulders. If you had to guess, that was probably when you first felt your heart flutter when he was around. I mean he’s so good-looking and he smelled really good with that cologne and his arms felt strong around you.
Physical attraction was bound to take place sooner or later. But as if that weren’t already hard to ignore, he started making small talk with you. You normally hate small talk, but you knew he’s a shy boy and thought it was sweet of him to try to fill in the silence, so you started chatting back. After a while you’d just tell him about your day, he’d do the same, and it was so comfortable. So comfortable, in fact, that he even started to voice concerns out to you about a performance or his vocals or anything that had him not in the right headspace for the schedule ahead (at least, that’s how he would describe it).
That’s when physical contact started between you two. Nothing with an ulterior motive, just a friendly squeeze of the hand to reassure him that he has amazing vocals and that it not just some pleasantry you’re saying, that you really love the way his voice conveys emotion, and that you always feel so much peace whenever his part comes up during songs or performances. He’d look so shy after you’d compliment him so much. Afterwards he’d even hug you and thank you for cheering him on, it’s something that gives him strength.
The moment when you realized you both had crossed the invisible line was when everyone had left the prep room, but you noticed something you had to fix with his make-up, although you had been sure he was ready to go on stage just 5 minutes before. You sat him back down on the prep chair and started working swiftly under pressure. You didn’t say anything and had this pouty expression as you concentrated on his face. You took his chin and tilted it upwards as you fixed his lips. “There!” you had exclaimed proud of your work. And then it took him not 5 seconds to take your chin between his fingers and ruin your work as he pressed his lips against yours.
The biggest surprise was that you weren’t surprised. You just kissed him back, enjoying the warm light sensation that spread across your chest. You sat down on his lap, your legs dangling by his sides. Your hands moved over his chest and shoulders, connecting behind him as you hugged. The hand he’d used to grab your chin had made its’ way to your cheek, and the other one was placed gently on your waist.
It was a soft kiss, with a sort of reassuring feel to it, as if it were him asking you to calm down the worries in his head and not an exhilarating confession kiss.
You pulled back and rested your forehead on chest as you caught your breath.
“You’ll do amazing, Jeongin.” You told him.
“If I only think of you, I just might.” He replied.
“Okay, hold still while I fix your lips again, we have probably 5 minutes before someone comes to get you.” You chided and he obliged.
You got back up and fixed his lips for third time that day and then sent him off on his way to perform. He hugged you and pecked your cheek just in time as a knock sounded at the door.
So, yeah, there was no big moment of truth. It was just a feeling of ‘hmm, this is right’ from that kiss onwards.
Hello! I know I shouldn’t be putting my personal matters in this blog but this one has the highest reach compared to my main blog as well as my Twitter, even though I’m always there.
Anyway, I’d like to ask for everyone’s help… only Twitter oomfs know this, but my parents are both cancer patients, with my father being diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer last year and my mother being diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer last July. We still haven’t recovered financially from my father’s treatments and now my mother needs treatment too.
We already had the operation done and we’ll meet our oncologist next week for chemotherapy. Well…. truth is I hardly have any money right now because I lost clients during the pandemic and I still hope I can contribute something financially for her treatment.

If we’re really comparing character to character from Songbirds and Snakes to the original characters, we’ve established Lucy is (too) similar to Katniss, Sejanus is similar to Peeta but who does Snow represent? Well you could think because he’s from the original trilogy he is himself but ....

what she means: finnick odair is viewed widely as a superficial character who was only self-obsessed and okay with being a killer, but really he survived the hunger games as the youngest ever winner, went through that much trauma and survived at 14 years old, grew up to fall in love with an emotionally damaged girl who had gone through what he had, yet she had turned out more externally damaged, grew close with a sweet old woman, was willing to protect her with his life and literally physically carried her on his back in the games, despite the risk to himself, stood with the rebellion against the Capitol even though he was their darling, publicly defied and spilled secrets about the president, married that same damaged girl he loved even in the middle of a war and had a child who he never got to meet, helped a psychologically damaged and unrecognizable Peeta and defended him, protected his friends and team against the lizard mutts, and actually begged for Katniss to throw a bomb down where he was, because he knew that it would save her and the rest of the team, even though he would die.

Hey remember when Katniss decided she couldn’t hate the people she was working with in The Games, because she realized if she was born and raised in The Capital then that could’ve easily been her? How she has a rational amount of sympathy for the average elite and doesn’t delude herself into think she’d just know better?
