The Farmers - Ulverston

We met the Chattaway family at the Northern Restaurant and Bar Show, where they told us about The Farmers: their award-winning pub and restaurant, located in the beautiful market town of Ulverston. It was time for their popular venue to get a completely refreshed look. Impressed with our previous projects, the Chattaways gave us a brief: to create two distinct areas in the restaurant - a lively area upstairs, and a cosy snug downstairs.

Bert’s Pizzeria - Hull

It’s always a pleasure to welcome a client back to Dawnvale. This was our second turnkey fit out for the Bert’s brand, owned and managed by the Mewbury family. This time, we were working on a new branch, up in Hull. The brief was clear: a relaxed and family-friendly restaurant with a simple menu, focusing on pizzas and gelato. We were brought in to bring the proposed design to life, managing the build and installation from start to finish.

Feya - Knightsbridge

When the beautiful Marylebone bakery, Feya Café decided to open a second location in London, the project’s lead designers approached us to help bring their vision to life. We worked with the FormRoom team to turn the new Knightsbridge venue into an ethereal enchanted forest, with pops of colour, a hint of illusion and an abundance of Insta-worthy features, in keeping with the Marylebone café and sister bakery Dyce’s reputation as being an extremely Instagrammable venue for popular influencers.

Tom’s Bar - Dorset

When the Dawnvale team received a call from the new owners of an old clothing store and soon-to-be bar, we couldn’t help but feel a little excited for the challenge that lay ahead.

Occupying a wonderful central location in Christchurch, Tom and Suzie had recently acquired a property that had been used as a clothing shop for many years. The pair had big ambitions to transform the space into one of the hottest spots in town.

With plans to serve the best barista coffees in the morning, an array of tapas in the afternoon and delicious cocktails after dark, we listened to their ideas for a thriving business with interest. It was clear that the project was ambitious, challenging and creative – we understood that their new venture would have to seamlessly cater to all types of customer, adapting and evolving for different clientele from first thing in the morning to late at night.

Mackie Mayor - Manchester

When Market Operations, the brand behind Altrincham’s award-winning market, decided to launch a new venue they called on Dawnvale for help with the fit out. The Grade II listed Mackie Mayor building is one of the two remaining original buildings from the former Smithfield market on the edge of Manchester’s Northern Quarter. Dawnvale helped to transform this iconic space into a buzzing urban venue for some of the city’s brightest new food and drink operators.

The Alchemist - Nottingham

Our ongoing work with the master mixologists at The Alchemist saw us down in Nottingham, transforming a beautiful listed building into the latest branch of this darkly luxurious brand. Together with Living Ventures Group, we’ve conjured up a bar and restaurant that oozes opulence and wows its guests with faded glamour that seeps into every corner of this Gothic haunt. Branded the home of molecular mixology, the Alchemist has opened a beautiful waterfront branch at Media City - its third Manchester venue. Of the 12 Alchemist branches across the UK, Dawnvale has been involved in the transformation of eight - and we’re lined up to work with the Living Ventures group, renowned designers Macaulay Sinclair and The Alchemist team on another four.
