"I would like that very much. It would ease my mind knowing that you are safe when I can't be with you. You could call even when it isn't just for updates" Jacob says, kissing Dax again and taking the phone. He put his number in and called himself before handing it back. Jacob laughed at the mention of Max. "Max is the one who flirted with me, right? I can understand why Jax would worry. Do you think Max had a run in with Malachi?" He asks, concerned for Dax's brother since Dax was worried and he could feel it through their bond.

Dax retrieved his phone. Tapping his own name for Jacob in his contacts. It read 'Lover Boy' with lots of heart emojis. "I'll call you to tell you what I ate for dinner." He joked. "Isn't that what the kids do these days?" He bumped his nose against Jacob's.

"Max will flirt with anything. He flirted with a houseplant once. He wasn't serious but it made me laugh...that's why he did it." Dax explained as his mood dimmed a bit. "He's always doing that. Calming me down and giving Jax something to harp about. So we don't take our positions too seriously."

"I wouldn't put it past Malachi. I know he's approached Max a few times but he wanted nothing to do with him." Dax bit his lip. "Can I tell you something?" He asked quietly. "He's approached me too. But I can't tell me brothers. They'll go after him and it will be a bloodbath. I don't even remember what happened. Sort of blanked out."

"But! Let's not dwell on things we can't do anything about anymore. Jax and Max are busy so...let's make the best of our time together. Okay?" He rolled over, pinning Jacob beneath him. "Round two?"

Jacob held Dax close and inhaled his scent, committing it to memory. He traced the skin of his cheek as if he were the most precious treasure in the world and he didnt want to let him go. He waited a long time to find his person and the thought of him going back, being anywhere near Malachi made him sick to his stomach. "I will still worry, my soulmate, because you now have a third of my soul. Your portion holds greater weight than my platonic soulmate's portion. I feel you more deeply than I do him. It's more consuming." He says softly. "Will you please try to convince them? You could be safe here."

Jacob rested his forehead against Dax's and closed his eyes. "I will not move against him unless I feel you are in danger. I am not the only one who stands to lose someone to that plague now." He says as he thought of his brothers and the ones they stand to lose to that plague. Skylar being the one in biggest danger. Jacob didn't say though that Malachi may be powerful but they had their own secret weapons that could defeat him when the time came. Namely Eric, the one people underestimated the most but only a few knew how powerful he truly was since establishing a relationship with his demon father thanks to Magnus.

Dax kissed Jacob's palm. "I'll talk to them." He promised. He couldn't ask him not to worry. Were their circumstances reversed, Dax would be sick with fear. "Tell you what..." He said, pecking Jacob's lips. "What if we still communicate? In secret. He'll never know. And I can tell you what's happening." He cupped the side of Jacob's face. "Because if I'm away from you...I'll worry for you as well. You are just as important to me as I am to you. You know that? My soulmate."

He pulled out his cellphone. "Malachi doesn't know we have these. Jax got them so we could always know where the other was. It has a GPS system." He laughed rolling his eyes. "Jax always has to be prepared for the worst. If for some reason our bonds don't work. Secretly I think he wants to keep tabs of Max. He's a loose cannon these days. We aren't sure why. He's hiding something."

Jacob tried to follow along with the conversation between the triplets but they were talking so fast it was hard to keep up. He got the general gist of it though. The Moonfogs worked for Malachi, the one man he and his family had been trying to avoid since coming to the human realm. It seemed he couldn't escape the plague that was Malachi no matter where he turned. His oldest brother's platonic soulmate was involved, his other older brother's platonic soulmate's family was involved, his own platonic soulmate's family was involved and now his romantic soulmate was involved, it was lose lose no matter which way he turned. "I'm involved no matter which way I turn anyway" Jscob grumbled "Be it through my family or one of my soulmates that fucking plague is somehow connected" he says running a hand through his hair. "But I'm not giving up Dax when I've waited over a century to find him" he finally says to the other two Moonfogs.

Once they left, Jacob turned to Dax and caressed his cheek. "Do you have to go back? I can protect you, hide you and your brothers. My family and I have ways, connections, to hide you where Malachi will never find you, no one will unless you want them to. Make you disappear in plain sight. We've done it before" he says softly.

Dax caught Jacob's hand and pressed it to his cheek melting a bit. Romance was something new for him. He was used to just quick and dirty. Like his brothers. But this was different. Beautifully different.

He opened his eyes and just gazed at Jacob. Studying the planes and curves of his face. In case he never saw him again. And who knew really. Maybe he would. Maybe he wouldn't. What mattered now though was this moment.

"They'd never go for it. Jax is stubborn and Max doesn't like to be contained." He murmured. "But don't worry about me. As long as I do what he tells me, Malachi doesn't hurt me."

He curled his arms around Jacob's neck and pulled their foreheads together. "Promise me something? That you won't try and move against Malachi. He's more powerful than you realize. I don't want you to get hurt. Not after I just found you."

"Fucking Malachi!" Jacob mutters "That pain in the ass is the bane of my existence. I have a few not so nice things I'd like to do to him" he says before looking up. "The bond is broken by the soulmate bond. He will be pissed but we have been waiting for his ass." He says a bit darkly since he was starting to get tired of hearing about Malachi in his life.

Dax was vibrating with panic. "We don't have to tell him!" He whined giving Max a shove back a few steps. "I can still work! He doesn't have to know!..." His eyes started to brim with tears. "I love him."

Jax rolled his eyes. "Dax... you don't love him you just met him. Now come on. We're going. Max...leave him be for now."

Max eyed Jacob for another moment before he shrugged. "Until we meed again..." He promised him.

"I'm staying with Jacob." Both of his brothers turned to glare at him. "Don't want to go back. Can't we just..."

"If you don't come back with us Malachi will know something is up." Jax replied cooly. "This isn't up for discussion Dax."

Max hummed. "We could give him another hour or so."

"So you can make out with that guy again? No."

"Doesn't have to be that guy. Wait...which guy are we talking about?" He raised a brow at Jacob. "Oh...that one."

"If Max gets to make out with people why can't I?" Dax whined. "At least I'm only making out with Jacob."

"Because Max isn't getting emotionally invested." Jax pinched the bridge of his nose. "Alright. One hour Dax. Not a second longer."

Jacob was confused as he watched and listened to the three siblings, feeling a bit awkward in his current state of undress. Normally Jacob didn't mind being naked but there was something different about being half naked in front of his new soulmate's siblings while they bickered back and forth in front of him. "He means we are soulmates" Jacob finally says.

"SOULMATE?" Jax screeched.

"Mmm...." Max hummed still watching Jacob with keen interest.

"It's not my fault!" Dax cried as Jax grabbed him and started searching his body for the initials.

Max smiled at Jacob. "Well...you'll have to just not."

Dax swatted his brother away before darting in front of Max, shielding Jacob. "No. You can't have this one. Just because we're soulmates doesn't mean he has to die."

"Me or Malachi." Max said in a sultry tone. "At least I'll be quick. Your choice."

Jax gave up on his searching at started to pace. "Dax you make me crazy."

"It's not like I did it on purpose!" Dax grumbled. "We're soulmates. It happened. Now...go away. We're in the middle of something."

Jacob looks at Dax through his lashes before kissing him deeply, his tongue dancing with the younger fae's. "You read my mind." He says taking his hand "Let's go" he guides Dax away toward one of the fully stocked bedrooms, pushing him against the door and attacking his lips once the door was closed.

Jacob groaned as he kissed Dax back, their tongues dancing together. All too soon they had to stop because of someone banging on the door. Jacob looked at Dax confused as he put his clothes on. "What the hell?" He whispers.

Dax continued to fumble with his pants until he gave up completely and stole Jacob’s shirt to cover himself as the banging on the door continued. “HOLD ON A FUCKING MINUTE YOU COCKBLOCKER!”

As he stumbled his way to the door, he flung the covers over Jacob. “One second…” he promised, sure he was as red as a tomato.

He jerked open the door to reveal his eldest brother looking just as red for a completely different reason. “What?” He snapped.

Max appeared from behind Jax. He made a kissy face at Dax before swinging himself past him through the door. As his eyes landed on Jacob he smiled wolfishly. “Well hello there.” He purred.

Abandoning the door and going after the real threat, Dax threw himself in front of Jacob spreading his arms. “You can’t have this one! He’s mine!”

Jacob wrapped the covers around him and stared back at Dax's brothers with a bright red face. He wasn't expecting to meet his soulmate's family half naked. "Uh..yes, I belong to Dax" he says as Max eyes him and Dax stands protectively in front of him.

Max let his gaze drift downward. “Pity…”Dax growled low in his chest which only made his brother’s smile broaden.

Jax stalked into room still fuming. “Dax! What hell are you doing?”

“I believe it’s who he’s doing.” Max purred as he finally tore his gaze from the beautiful man in the sheets.

Jax turned a murderous look at Max.

“Tsk tsk.. your blood pressure.”

Deciding Max was actually not the one in trouble here, Jax turned his attention to Dax. “What do you mean he’s yours? You do know who he is don’t you?”

Jacob looks at Dax through his lashes before kissing him deeply, his tongue dancing with the younger fae's. "You read my mind." Jacob groaned as Dax tugged on his hair, kissing him deeply as he worked to remove the rest of their clothes until they were both bare. "All yours, babe." He purrs in his ear, reaching down to pull his legs over his shoulders. Jacob reached into the drawer beside the bed and grabbed lube and a condom. "Condom?" He asks as he coats his fingers with lube and traces Dax's hole.

“Condom?” He wrinkled his nose pulling Jacob closer for a thorough kiss. He was about to add to that when he hissed covering his neck on the opposite side of his soulmate mark. A beat later there was a thunderous sound against the door.

“Dax!” Someone yelled through the door. “Open this door!”

Dax’s eyes widened in horror. “Shit!” He exclaimed scrambling away from Jacob. “Put your clothes on!”

Jacob looks at Dax through his lashes before kissing him deeply, his tongue dancing with the younger fae's. "You read my mind." He says taking his hand "Let's go" he guides Dax away toward one of the fully stocked bedrooms, pushing him against the door and attacking his lips once the door was closed.

Jacob groaned softly at the bite to his bottom lip, carrying his soulmate to the bed and kissing him again. He let his hands roam under Dax's shirt, pulling back just long enough to remove it before kissing down his neck and over his chest. "God you're so fucking beautiful. And all mine" he murmured against his skin as he kissed lower, spreading the other man's legs wider so he could settle between them during his descent lower.

Dax shuddered at the feel of Jacob’s hands under his shirt. At first he felt a chill. Then Jacob’s mouth moved to his neck and he was on fire.

He hissed out a breath so turned on he knew nothing Jacob. Busying himself with Jacob’s pants, he allowed his legs to open. Jacob would be even closer then.

Once the descent began, Dax fell back, digging his fingers in the covers. He inhaled sharply as his back arched. “All yours.. “ he repeated. “But also…” His fingers moved to Jacob’s hair pulling him upward. “All mine..” he growled before kissing him hard.

"Bring it on then' Kwan laughs.

Dax laughed. "Nephilim can dance? Could have fooled me." Dax joked, holding out a hand. "Come on...let's see what you got."

Dax welcomed the kiss, tangling his hands in Jacob's hair in case the older fae intended on moving away. He gracefully hopped up, wrapping his legs snugly around Jacob's slim waist. As the kiss ended, he sunk his teeth into Jacob's bottom lip and sucked it between his lips. With a moan, he clasped his hands around the taller fae's neck. "Bed. Now." He breathed.

"This is a kiss" he says, cupping the back of Dax's neck and kissing him deeply, the new mark on his chest pulsing as he deepens the kiss.

Jacob laughs as Dax shoves him against the wall. "I call it like I see it" he grins, stealing another kiss. "Don't worry. I'm all yours. I can handle your brothers when the time comes."

Dax lost himself in lazy kisses with Jacob. He melted against with a contented sigh. When Jacob said he could handle his brothers Dax had to laugh. “Oh sure you can.”

Dax pushed off Jacob, shivering a little at the little jolt his mark gave. “I heard Magnus keeps well stocked rooms around here.” Popping his lips, Dax wiggled his brows at his soulmate. “I don’t know about you but I’m dying to get you out of those clothes.”

"You call that a kiss?" Jacob smirked before pulling Dax closer, resting his forehead against his as his chest tingled in a familiar way he hadn't felt since he and Cyprien discovered they were platonic soulmates. Jacob beamed down at Dax once they were alone in the alcove, pulling him close and kissing him again. "How could I ever reject the most beautiful person I have ever seen?" He says smoothly, reaching up to caress his cheek. "Don't worry. I won't do anything to make Max slit my throat. I will be good to you and your brothers. You will want for nothing, my soulmate" he says kissing him again, humming softly as his mark seemed to buzz at the contact with his destined forever love.

Dax wrinkled his nose. “Is that a line? Are you giving me a line?” He gave Jacob a playful shove against the wall. “Max might let that slide but Jax certainly won’t.” He hummed thinking of his brothers. “Actually. Let’s never have you meet either of them. I’d like to keep you in one piece…” As he trailed off he gave Jacob a slow once over. “Yep. One glorious piece.”

Jacob grinned back at him as he held Dax close. "Good. I never want to let you go" he murmured and pecked his lips before Dax stepped back. He watched him touch the back of his neck and sighed. "I did nothing, Lady Fate did." He says before unbuttoning his shirt just enough to show Dax his own initials on his chest etched in gold. "We are destined. Soulmates. Romantic soulmates to be exact. So I really wont be free of you now." Jacob said before wrapping and arm around Dax's waist and pulling him close "Not that I want to be free of you. But you have the option to reject the bond, beautiful. I just hope you won't. I would be a good soulmate." He says placing a gentle kiss on his forehead.

At the gentle peck Dax felt an unexpected warmth rise in his cheeks. He dropped his eyes almost shyly. When Jacob pulled him closer to show him his mark, Dax gave it a soft kiss before finally meeting the Knight’s eyes again.

When Jacob said he could refuse, Dax looked shocked. “Why would I do that?”

Dax suddenly felt vulnerable being out in the sea of dancers. He grabbed Jacob’s hand and pulled him through the throng and into an empty alcove. Once alone Dax caught him by the back of the neck and rose to his toes to kiss him.

“Don’t you think about refusing either. I’ll tell Max and he’ll slit your throat in your sleep.” Despite the words he beamed at Jacob, patting his chest.

Jacob smirked before pulling Dax closer, resting his forehead against his as his chest tingled in a familiar way he hadn't felt since he and Cyprien discovered they were platonic soulmates. Dax unwillingly melted into the kiss. Or willingly. Didn't really matter. The kiss was hot and sent tingles all the way down his spine. He caught Jacob around the neck, pressing harder. When the kiss finally broke, Dax realized he'd closed his eyes. Now they were staring at each other. After a beat he beamed up at him. "Well now you've done it." He teased. "You'll never be free of me now."

He stepped back and scratched the back of his neck. It felt funny. Tingly. Even without Jacob's hand there. Frowning, Dax stared back at the knight. "What did you do?"

"It is a high honor ro bed the Queen, of course I considered it" Jacob laughs before pouting as the other Fae teased him. "You asked for it" He smirked as danced a few steps forward, stealing a kiss before dancing away, ignoring the way his body tingled at the action in favor of playing the game. "I win" he smirks.

Dax felt heat rise in his cheeks as his lips tingled. He touched them with the pads of his fingers as he watched Jacob dance away. It was a game. Certainly. But why was his heart beating so fast? And why was he blushing? Dax didn't blush. He'd never hear the end of it from his brothers.

Still... Dax spun around towards the older fae. He kissed his fingers and then darted across the distance between them. He shot up in the air, up above Jacob before crossing his arms behind his head and kissing him on the way back down to the ground. And yep...still tingling. He kept a hand on the back of Jacob's neck, keeping them pulled together. "That's a kiss..." He panted.
