Dayâs past aerial silk routine.
whats your dream position at cirque du soleil
âAn aerial silk artist. Thatâs what I started out doing, after gymnastics. But the circus I work for now doesnât do that act, and they needed a tightrope walker so thatâs what I do now. But my heart will always be with the aerial silks.â
do you not have a gag reflex?
âA little bit. Iâve nearly gotten rid of it with the whole shoving-a-coat-hanger-down-my-throat thing. Not gonna lie, it was rough at first. I threw up many a time. Iâm getting pretty good now, though.â
Top three fuckable people around Starlite?
âJust based on looks, right? Riley, I see her sometimes when I go down to the first floor to get my mail. Oliver at the diner-- oh boy. He can flip my patty any day. And Emery. I lowkey hope sheâs the one who cleans my room. Iâll give you a bonus with Lila, âcause sheâs gorgeous and gives me extra strong coffee when I need it.â
can you breathe fire?
âYou bet your bottom dollar that I can. Iâm lowkey scared that my breath always smells like lamp oil, though. Iâm working on sword swallowing now, if youâre interested. Iâm still in the coat hanger stage, unfortunately.â
favorite animals to work with?
âLike at the circus? We donât work with animals anymore, which is awesome. Laws are outlawing it. I donât think I wouldâve liked it, anyway. For one, it wouldâve been sad. And two, theyâre animals and could literally kill me. Iâd take walking on a tightrope two stories high any day.â
do you watch porn? what's your favorite type?
âI do, and Iâm not ashamed. It varies. Sometimes I like some good oleâ heterosexual pound town, but sometimes I only watch lesbian porn. The perks of being hella bisexual, my friend.â
how did you get your name?
âMy parents smoked a lot of weed, brother. My sisterâs name is Storm. Which makes no sense when their names are Patrick and Helen.â
greggorymaddox:
At the next person to come by that seemed even somewhat familiar, Gregg offered a small smile. âHey you.â He was never able to remain at his desk for long. He was great with people, at the very least, both on the phone and in person. However, he tried his best to leave the front desk whenever it was a shift with both him and his boss. âIf you could have any job in the entire world, what would it be? I want to be a bouncer. Bounce people outta places.â
âYou know, I always thought you looked like a bouncer. Maybe that dream isnât too far off,â Day nodded her head with certainty. âYou could be my bouncer,â the girl suggested. âIâve always wanted to walk around with big sunglasses on with a body-guard kind of person. You know, pretend Iâm important and everything,â she smiled. âI know this is gonna sound crazy, but Iâd like to work at Cirque Du Soleil. Iâm like... a quarter of the way there, maybe.â
ezra--benson:
âYeah you did just uhâŠdonât make a big deal,â he said and motioned at her with his hand before letting out a laugh. âI donât know,â he said with a shrug. âLooks a lot better in real life, just saying.â He looked at her, doing his best not to shamelessly look her over before he dipped his head underwater for a moment to hide his slight blush.Â
âOh thatâs a good one,â he said and pointed at her, standing up a bit more as he moved towards the shallow end. âFirst of all, youâre most likely going to kick my ass but Iâm holding onto hope. My run this morning was extra awesome so Iâm feeling confident in my abilities. But sure, a wager I can work with. You thinking something specific? Iâm up for anything. Just you know, make sure you donât take it too hard when I win.â
She had always been oblivious to compliments, especially when they were subtle. Day had never been properly exposed to flirting either, having been so invested in her gymnastics all throughout high school. So as Ezra mentioned her swimsuit, her lack of experience merely brushed it off as a kind compliment to which she smiled wide too, her eyes squinting as her cheeks rose upwards. âThanks, I got it on sale at Target a few years ago. It was 70% off, I made a total score out of it.â
âIâm so confident in my winning, that Iâll bet you $20, and an hour where the loser has to do whatever the winner says. Chores, cook, assassinate their enemy-- you name it,â The blonde teased with a laugh. âIâve got to warn you, just so you can have a chance to back out,â Day began, wading through the water in the shallow end. âI do this every day. Iâm pretty good, not to toot my own horn.â
emalmonte:
Emersonâs lips pursed in contemplation, trying to find the gentlest way to voice her opinion. Itâs something sheâs actively trying to get better at; that whole think before you speak thing really is a journey. âIâll take your word for it, sweetpea. Iâve just always thought he sounds likeâ like frat boy drunk off of one too many strawberitas after going through a break up?âÂ
âTo be honest, I feel like he was a frat boy drunk off of one too many strawberitas after going through a break up,â Day nodded her head and shrugged. âHe definitely has a tone, all right. And a persona. Heâs not for everyone. What kind of music are you into, then?â
tabithademartel:
âI am not really a fan of John Mayer â I donât think I even could name a song â well he did do one about a room burning right? And your body is a wonderland, right?â Law school had fucked her up greatly, she had dedicated a large portion of her life to reading regulations and statues that her music taste stayed in the undergrad years â which usually included for her The Beatles â Red Hot Chili Peppers and other bands like that.Â
âYea, yea,â Day nodded her head vigorously. âSlow Dancing in a Burning Room. Even though itâs on Continuum, itâs still a great song. And yes, Your Body is a Wonderland was his, too! He wrote it for Jennifer Love Hewitt, isnât that weird? I donât know why I know that,â she laughed, shrugging. âA lot of people donât really care for him, itâs understandable. What kind of music do you listen to?â
caseyoxbrien:
A large grin broke across Caseyâs delicate features as the girl began to fawn over John Mayer. She couldnât really understand the appeal, but she was aware that there were many women out there who would agree with her. âWow, honey, I think you might have a crush,â she teased, popping a sugar cube in her mouth. âUgh, yes he is,â she agreed, her whole body reacting to the thought of him. âOh, youâre one of those, I see. But itâs okay. Even I canât deny Taylorâs first few albums were solid gold, especially for the age I was back then. I just think you havenât found the right fit just yet.âÂ
Day let out a large sigh, resting her chin in her palm as she daydreamed about John Mayer. âI do, I have no shame in admitting it. I have a crush on John Mayer,â she said, her lips pulling apart to bare her teeth. âRight? Being sixteen and listening to her first few albums-- whew,â she shook her head with wide eyes. âI donât know who hurt me enough to relate to her songs, but boy, I did. Her new stuff is garbage. I want the old Taylor back. There is like... one decent song on the new album. And Iâm being generous with the term âdecent.ââ
cecilyhend:
cecily nodded her head, âI guess I just get my emotional music fill elsewhere, I find his stuff whiny and repetitive, but I try not to bash any music thatâs honest so- Iâll hold backâ she put her hands up in fake defeat. âum, I donât know, I can pretty much dig with anything- music that sounds haunting, smokey and rich. something thatâs daring and weirdâ
âThat sounds like John Mayer,â Day gave a side smile, admittingly. âDaring and weird? Can you give me some examples? The only bands that come to mind are like... Tame Impala or something.â
scarlet--howard:
âYes! That song! Holy shit that was my jam.â She chuckled, shaking her head at herself. âIâm going to have to say thatâs the best album. Just because of that song.â
âYou and I seem to be the only ones,â Day laughed. âIâve found that a lot of people around here donât particularly stand to listen to John Mayer. Which is understandable. But Iâm glad at least someone agrees with me.â
