2nd and final of the foot controller

How does it work?

A button is placed inside the round shape where the feet will do pressure and when the round shape is pressed, the button is triggered, opening the bottom black panels in the bottom of the screen.

1st Prototype if a foot controller shaped as the main Character (Peb).

The idea of a foot controller was inspired from the way Daydreamers lived their daydreams. More precisely, they tend to pace, jump or short run in their place while Daydreaming. Voluntary or not, those movements help them to immerge them self in the Daydreams.

The repetition is always present and will intensify in each level. Also, the faster the repetition is, the more complexe or diversified will be the environnement. Thus represent in a way the complexification of the daydreams by the effect of habituation (commonly found with repetition) and by the various replays of the player.

Sounds are important mostly at the beginning of the experience, since they will warn the player from the incoming cube from above. But, finding that it becomes irritating, those warning should only last about 4 - 5 actions max. and should progressively become lower.

A contemplative experience from the previous pictures and narration

[daydreamsdivers]

If daydreaming engages more the mind than the body, then it is to the one seeking those mental images to focus into the foggy spaces of the mind.

Inspired from optical illusions, those three pictures represents creatures from previous narrations. 

If you focus on a part of the central picture, the shape of the creature will act pn the retinal persistance, allowing you to see it for a short moment after the images fades.
