🚀 Clean Launcher App for Windows

Hey Simmers!

I’m excited to share the first public release of my Clean Launcher app—a one-stop, user-friendly tool for managing your Sims 4 mods, cleaning cache and error logs, scanning for duplicates, and backing up important files. All the essentials in one easy Windows app!

What’s in Clean Launcher?

🧹 Clean & Launch Sims 4: Clean cache/error logs and launch Sims 4 in one click. (You can set it to clean only when your Mods folder changes.) Switch between Mods Profiles for different playstyles.

🔎 Scan Mods Folder: Finds duplicates, hidden/zipped/missing files, and more. Fix everything in one click or review/fix issues individually. Expand sections for more details.

📦 Drag & Drop Mod Installer: Drag in ZIPs or mods, or browse for files—they’ll be auto-extracted and sorted into Mods, Tray, or Saves. Great for quickly adding new Sims/Builds.

🗂️ Backup Mods, Saves & Tray: Zip your Mods, Saves, or Tray for backup or easy transfer to another PC.

🧩 Organize Mods Folder: Auto-sort your Mods into simple, detailed, or custom categories (undo anytime). Edit folder names/keywords as needed; update subfolders if you rename or move a parent folder.

👤 Manage Mod Profiles: Create/switch between mod profiles. New CC is detected and you’ll be prompted to import it before switching. CC disappeared? Don't worry, it's safely backed up. Just switch profiles, or in Manage Mod Profiles, go to More>View Backups, to see your stored profiles.

Development is ongoing—if you run into any issues, please report them (including the app’s report file). You can do this in More Tools>Help & Online.

Unzip it somewhere it can stay (like Documents)

Double-click Start Clean Launcher.bat ✔ No installation, no antivirus triggers ✔ A desktop shortcut is created for you on first run ✔ All features are the same as the full version!

🛡 Antivirus Note

Some antivirus software may flag Clean Launcher simply because it’s not code-signed (this is normal for small indie apps).

✅ You can safely allow or restore the file 🧪 Clean Launcher is clean on Microsoft Defender, Avast, Bitdefender, etc. 📄 See: VirusTotal Scan

If it’s quarantined, check your antivirus settings and choose “Restore”.

⚠️ Install/Update Error? (Access Denied)

If you see this during install or update:

“DeleteFile failed; code 5. Access is denied.”

It usually means Clean Launcher is still running, or you don't have Administrator privileges.

🔧 Fix:

Make sure Clean Launcher is fully closed (check the system tray too)

If needed, open Task Manager and end any “CleanLauncher.exe” processes

Right-click the installer and choose “Run as Administrator.”

Needed a little break from Blender so I did a little Jemima/Sillabub facepaint and shes sooo adorable AAHH <333 Hairstyle by @raccoonium !!! Using it as a placeholder bc it's technically a Munkustrap hair but this did make me realize how close their hairstyles are hehe :3

Bomba sim progress !! Hair, unitard, gloves & facepaint all by me and YES I do plan on releasing them for download once I'm fully satisfied with everything :) The hair was quite a challenge to model and it's not perfect but it's still really cool to see it in-game >:]] I'm also working on Demeter and Tugger (and will likely work on more once all three are finished) but she's priority right now!

DREAMGIRL'S LASH COLLECTION V.1-V.6 FIXED

Hello~ As many of you know, a recent patch update broke pretty much all cc eyelashes. I personally adore @dream-girl's eyelashes and because the creator has been gone since February of last year, I knew there was little chance of them being updated. I'm very very new to cc creating, but I came across a quick fix for cc eyelashes and decided to take on the project of updating these so that everyone can have them working in their game again! I will of course take this down in the event that the creator requests that I do so or if an official update is released by dreamgirl. Alt-text includes image description and the names of the sims who are modeling these gorgeous lashes!

You can find all of these in the new eyelash category. They are enabled for occult as well as both genders and opposite frames! I only tested them once on a male sim, so if there are any issues I apologize 🙏🏼

Issues of note: I am currently unable to fix V.7 of the creator's lash collection. There is a preexisting issue (pre-patch) with the mesh where the top eyelashes did not morph with the eye, and this has of course carried over. I am going to continue to attempt to fix these (they're a favorite of mine), but please understand I am very much so a newbie and I've never used Blender. I can't promise when or even an if they will be fixed, but please be patient with me. One other thing I've found is that these lashes may conflict with some custom facial sliders. For example, I use magic-bot's facial sliders and the cheekbone slider causes the bottom lashes to morph with the structure of the cheekbones, so please keep this in mind! As per usual, these lashes conflict with glasses! That's all! Thank you guys SO much for all the love and support and a big big thank you to @dream-girl!

hi~ i’m new to simblr but i’ve learned how to fix the issue with cc lashes from the recent patch! i adore dreamgirl’s lashes but as we all know op has been offline since early last year, so i’m fixing dreamgirl’s collection of cc lashes myself! i was thinking about posting them when i’m done, but i wanted to do an interest check to see if anyone would like that or if someone else is already planning on posting a fix. please like/rb if interested and sound off in the comments if you wanna!!
