i am a firm believer that ocs are a reflection of the self in the way that every character you create has to hold some piece of you to really feel alive. sometimes this is why all your ocs have certain traits, sometimes this is why you can track your various issues and traumas all the way from middleschool to now based on what your ocs are like. this is a feature not a bug

fun thing i noticed while watching MP100 Season 2 that i wanted to talk about since im not sure anyone else has - i really like this shot because it's such a cool way of illustrating the difference between Mob and Touichirou. this is an argument between two ideologies: Touichirou argues that self-serving individualism is the only way to go, that his power over others is absolute in every category. Mob argues that no human is complete without others and the people around you give you the strength to become whole. Here, the glass reflection is showing the city behind Mob and Shou; they're fighting for everyone, and at the same time, that empathy for the masses is also ultimately their strength. Mob draws his power from the people around him who help him become complete, so he's covered in the image of a city full of people. meanwhile, Touichirou's argument is nothing more than a self-serving, flawed ideology, the barrier he puts up around other people reflected in the broken glass around him. even the broken glass tells the story of what's going to happen to him: he's isolated himself from other people, and so just like the window's he's shattered showcasing his strength, he too will break in the face of someone who acknowledges that they're only the way they are because of the others around them.

also, mob is next to shou compared to his isolated father on the other side of the shot, further showcasing that he's not alone and the empathy he shows for other people is his greatest strength!! its peak
