You’re in bed when Mingyu gets home.
It’s not late, nor are you tired, nor are you trying to surprise him with anything. It’s just one of those nights, you suppose - they happen a lot when it starts getting cold out. The days get shorter and you get home at sunset or later than sunset, and all you really want to do is put on some pajamas and lounge. So you’re in bed when Mingyu gets home, dressed in one of his old t-shirts and watching some random drama on your phone.
The front door shuts and you hear the lock click before footsteps get closer to the bedroom, muffled by the carpet. Mingyu stands in the doorway for a moment, eyes on you, and you stare back without a word. He shrugs his coat off, then his shoes (putting them away nicely, as always) and then collapses directly on top of you on the bed.

↳ ones filled with silent understanding
It’s long days at work that leave you dragging your feet, sore and tired. You’re too physically exhausted, the muscles in every portion of your body protesting as you move, on fire with an ache. Honestly, it’s too much to even remember the standard motor functions of your body, too mentally exhausted, as well.
It’s days that you get into petty arguments with your friends. He said, she said—and then something was taken out of context, but you can’t remember. You’re both equally too stubborn in your pride to give in, but you both love each other enough to step back and cool off. Yet it leaves an emptiness in the cavity of your chest, one that you can’t quite fill up with placeholder noise that doesn’t break the silence of a constant in your daily life.
It’s days that you get a call from your mom. In motherly fashion, she frets and worries. It starts off small until it builds up into too much, and there’s a throbbing just beyond your forehead from a headache and frustration. It’s not that you don’t love her, she’s your mother, but just a simple phone call can leave you in a less than pleasant mood. Her worries build up something akin to annoyance, your distant replies something she takes as a lack of affection. You try to refuse her statements, ease her worries—all the while, your anxiety grows and your shoulders sag with unknown stresses she adds to.
It’s days like these, where you walk through the door to home—too quiet—and he knows something is off.
The soft click is all that alerts Sunwoo of your presence, him lifting his head and pulling one earbud out to look up from the laptop and greet you. Instantly, though, he takes one look at you, and holds his tongue. It’s days like these that he just knows. He’s immediately setting his laptop aside on the couch, crossing the room in a swift motion, and engulfing you into his arms.
His broad shoulders feel like a blanket as his arms wrap around you, pulling you against his lithe frame. Without hesitation, you wrap your arms around his waist and bury your face against his neck, breathing him in. He smells like warmth, like home—like unnamed spices or your favorite food on a Sunday morning, and the smell of fresh laundry straight out of the dryer, paired with that same warmth he emanates. You can feel yourself melt against him, willingly wanting to be smothered by the comfort of his presence that you love so much.
You don’t feel you’re upset enough about anything in particular to need to break down, but you stand there on the precipice. And Sunwoo holds you together with just that silent hug.
Sunwoo’s thumb works circles against your back, just by your shoulder blade. Soothing. He wants to ask what’s wrong, he wants to know if he can help—but he knows better than to say something. It’s days like these that you appreciate that.
His silent understanding, and the comfort that comes with it, does wonders. Sunwoo’s innate instinct to know that something is wrong, and that maybe it’s not quite big enough to share or vent about—because it will all pass—but that really what you need is a stronghold to cling to until it does, is both impressive and appreciated.

Warnings: alcohol & language. Hoshi is drunk and hilarious to everyone but Seungkwan, per usual.
Summary: The Mansae hair was bad. Admit it. I’m looking at you @dinoshii. Stop defending it.
You’re not even sure how the conversation began.
Perhaps it was when Seungkwan broke out the high school yearbook. Perhaps it was when Seokmin poured another round of shots because Soonyoung drunkenly demanded, “Another round for me and the whole bar!”, even though you were sitting in the middle of Jeonghan and Joshua’s living room, huddled on and around two very small couches and an old spread out futon.
One minute there is light laughter and peaceful conversation and the next minute, all out chaos.
As per usual, your boyfriend Chan is fighting for his life. “It was not even that bad!”
A/N: ngl idk if the message im trying to convey about your relationship and reason for leaving makes sense,,,, oh and btw this is angst no comfort :)
"what do you mean?"
all you could do was stare. it was you who wanted to break up, but seeing yeonjun stare at you with such heartbroken eyes was something you weren't prepared for.
"you're joking, right?" yeonjun says with nervous laughter, slowly approaching you, "you really need to stop hanging out with beomgyu so much."
his hand cautiously reaches for yours, to which you pull away, too scared that you'd end up giving in to his touch. his hand lingers in the open air, slowly beginning to tremble as he realizes you weren't joking around.
"i thought we agreed to work this out," he says, trying to maintain his composure.
you did. you agreed to try and make it work with him despite his busy schedule. but you soon realized the problem. as much as you loved him and he loved you, it was distracting him from the career that he had worked years and years for. it was distracting him from achieving his dreams.
and as cheesy as it sounded in the movies, you really were willing to do anything to make him happy, even if it meant breaking his heart.
you try and muster the courage to finally meet his eyes, to which you're greeted by the sight of yeonjun staring at you with such sadness that you felt your heart beating painfully against your chest.
no one wanted this. you got along well with yeonjun's members and you were happy spending time with them. the txt members even made it a habit to let out a little "ooh" everytime you visited yeonjun in the dorms. everytime you saw him, it felt like the first time you met. the feeling of love never quelled, and if anything, you felt your heart overflow with love. and he felt the same, which was the problem.
yeonjun was constantly stuck between practice and you. and you'd support him if he went to practice, knowing it's what makes him happy, but lately he seemed to be choosing you more and more. he'd skip practice in the morning and come home early. as much as you appreciated his love, you weren't confident that you could make him as happy as being an idol does.
you saw the way his face lit up everytime he entered the studio and when he performed on stage. it was passionate, and that passion was something that you couldn't replace.
he was just so caught up in making you happy, you felt that he was beginning to lose his own.
and he'd never admit it, but you were right. he hasn't even realized it himself, but he was giving you too much. and just like how he had made you happy within the last few months, you felt the need to give that happiness back.
"i just think it'd be better for you," you reply, trying to keep your voice steady.
"what kind of vague answer is that?" he says, voice cracking as he desperately tries to reason with you, "just tell me what i did wrong and i'll fix it!"
"you didn't do anything wrong," you say, the tears threatening to spill, "i just think we should go our own separate ways."
"that isn't an answer!" he cries out, his own tears forming in his eyes, "i love you, isn't that enough?"
he said the words that you've been struggling to say. every night when those three words spilled out of his mouth so casually, as if it was meant for you, you weren't able to give him the luxury of saying it back.
"it isn't," you mutter, shaking your head. your eyes wander everywhere across the room until you finally meet his. "i don't think i love you, yeonjun."
and you could see the last glimmer of hope left in his eyes die out. he knew you didn't like saying the l word, so how could you say it so assertively when it came to not loving him?
of course, that was a lie. there was no way you couldn't love the man who had shown you all the colors of the rainbow when you had only known black and white. but you had to let him go. and telling him you love him would only make him more determined to make you stay.
and the silence sets. you realize he has nothing more to say and has finally given up. so you turn your back and leave without another word. you don't look back, too afraid to see what he looks like at that moment. the moment in which you permanently leave his life.
"this is what you wanted," you try and tell yourself, trying to smile before the tears finally fall.
so why was the pain you felt in your heart so unbearable?
where sunwoo comforts you in the middle of the night.

a/n: sunwoo has helped bring me so much comfort this past week. he's the reason i'm able to smile through the hardships i've faced and the reason i stay motivated to live into the next day, so i wrote this scenario on a whim
Through the illumination of the blue light from the glowing screen in front of your face, Sunwoo is able to spot the way you have your jaw clenched and a crease etched between your eyebrows. His phone has been long forgotten as he has his back pressed up against the pillows, waiting for you to join him in bed.
But he knows that isn’t likely after seeing your hunched posture, taking your fatigue into consideration.
“It’s two am,” he tells you, carefully removing the blanket from his torso. He walks up behind the chair you’re sitting in and wraps his arms around you loosely, chin finding purchase atop of your head. “You know you shouldn’t be up this late when you have to be awake in four hours.”
His words are spoken through whispers, ones that would usually ease your tense state. More often than not, his tone always has you feeling secured, no matter the time or place.
“Are you sure you’re not just saying that because you’re tired and want me to sleep with you?” you chuckle, stopping to look up at him to see his reaction.
“You know I don’t sleep before you do.” He hums with a frown, leaning forward to kiss your nose as if to greet you.
Seeing your boyfriend only makes your lips curl up in the slightest before you’re back to continuing your late assignment.
Your chest grows heavy when your eyes dart towards the time, realizing that your boyfriend was right. The long night of accomplishing nothing has finally dawned on you, and it doesn’t help how your breath becomes hitched in your throat, leaving you suffocated with impending thoughts. Your fingers falter upon your keyboard as you struggle to recall the prompt you’ve been given, still unable to comprehend what the assignment was about.
So you give up. The pixels on your screen remain frozen, and your fingers refuse to move on their own accord.
“Let’s go to sleep, okay?”
A sigh of frustration leaves you, and your head falls forward into your hands instinctively. The pain of feeling useless has already reached you, leaving you vulnerable to the tears welling up in your eyes.
Sunwoo steps to your side and closes the tab you were on, powering off the computer. His hands move to hold one of yours, helping you stand up. The tears that cascade down your cheeks are removed with the pads of his thumbs, and he’s looking at you like you held his entire universe when all you could do was hang your head, letting the tears flow as you slowly come to break down in front of him.
“I haven’t even finished one assignment today.” Although your voice is soft, it cracks.
Your boyfriend pulls you into his arms, hand pressed firmly against your nape as he rubs your back in order to soothe you. Seeing you like this has torn him apart, and he makes sure you’re eased into his embrace: a place deemed comforting to you.
He gives you a few seconds to let everything out before tilting your chin upwards, making your eyes meet his.
“I’m really proud of you.”
It shouldn’t have made you laugh, but it did. You laugh because you feel so helpless and undeserving of such a statement, and it causes more tears to fall. Your forehead goes back to being pressed up against his chest, and you’re sobbing while your fingers weakly grip the thin fabric of his shirt.
“There’s nothing to be proud of.”
Your voice has always been very soothing—and this time was no less—but it doesn’t fail to tug at his heartstrings. It wouldn’t even be a stretch to say that Sunwoo’s heart felt as if it was yanked out of his chest after hearing you.
“Don’t say that.”
You’re suppressing a smile, and although it’s an attempt to keep Sunwoo content, it’s the reason Sunwoo stops holding back his tears. You don’t even notice when one escapes as all you could do is fall weak in front of him.
Your muscles lose a sense of power when it becomes apparent that you’re using him for support, and it only makes you break down even further. Being dependent on everyone around you has always massively brought you down in the world you lived in, and Sunwoo has known this from the very start. It was one of the first things he learned about you as it’s one of your biggest insecurities, but despite all this, he still sees you as very strong and deserving of everything mother nature has to offer.
“I just feel so behind.”
“And that’s okay,” he quickly interjects. “Not everyone can move at a fast pace, and there’s nothing wrong with that. It’s okay to live life leisurely. As long as you’re happy, it’s okay.”
He presses a kiss to your head and lets it linger for a few seconds before leading you to the bed, keeping you close by his side the entire time.
The tears don’t stop when you’re tucked under the blankets and snuggled into his side, but they’ve lessened. You realize that you have someone by your side and that you’re not alone in the journey you're stuck in.
All Sunwoo can do is look at you and smother you with kisses whenever possible, hands reaching to hold one of yours.
“I love you,” he murmurs, lips meeting your fingers shortly after.
The only source providing you light is from the moon, and Sunwoo just thinks it makes you look even prettier when you’re looking right back at him.
“I’ll always be a step behind you. I’ll be here to catch you when you fall, and I’ll be here to watch you blossom.” He releases your hand only to hide a few strands of hair behind your ear and chooses to press another kiss to your temple. “That's why I always sleep after you.”
And for the first time that night, you smile. A genuine, heartwarming one. One that Sunwoo chooses to kiss off your lips before whispering small nothings until you drift off into a peaceful state of mind.
warnings: some strong language and angst, but the contents of the hate are not explicitly mentioned.

↣ seonghwa
At first, there were a few hateful comments here and there. It bothered you both, but you put up with it, thinking it would just take time for people to get used to you two together. But, paradoxically, the longer you dated, the more disgusting were the things that popped up online about you or your relationship.
Seonghwa – and you, too, to be honest – had naturally expected the opposite. It would have made sense for the hate online to cease when everyone got used to your relationship.
And yet, as soon as it was clear that this wouldn’t be the case, Seonghwa reacted in the only way that seemed appropriate: he cut off his communication online completely.
It was fairly obvious why he felt the need to do that – sending hate to his significant other was practically the same as sending hate to him directly. Actually, this might have been even worse, because if he was the one on the receiving end of it, he could close his eyes and move on. This was an unfortunate part of his job.
But you deserved the world – and this was something that Seonghwa considered to be a fact, not just merely a lovesick delusion – so, any hate directed at you was not acceptable.
“Why did you listen to Mingi, in the first place?” you buffed, grabbing Wooyoung’s arm with a little more strength.
“He was going to make fun of us if we backed out!” your boyfriend excused himself, “You’re hurting my arm” he complained, you could barely distinguish the pout on his face in the darkness of the room.
“Good” you pinched him “I just want to get out of here, hurry up”.
Mingi had dared you two to go into the Haunted House of the carnival in town, your other friends had mentioned how cool it was, ‘actually frightening’ and ‘fun’ but you had told Mingi he was crazy, you didn’t care if he called you a chicken, but Wooyoung, of course, was not letting him get away with it. So he dragged you with him to the Haunted House.
“It’s fine y/n, it’s not even that scary” Wooyoung squeezed your hand and turned the corner, slamming into a figure wearing a hockey mask covered in fake blood. Wooyoung let out a high-pitched scream before pulling you back where you’d come from, tripping over his own feet.
Completely forgetting how scared you had been for a second, you bursted out laughing. “Not that scary, huh?”
“Okay, this is the last time I listen to Mingi, I promise” this time it was Wooyoung who was holding on to your arm like his life depended on it.
“Thank you, now let’s get out of here” you looked around you, trying to find another way to go, “Don’t worry now, I can protect you” you mocked your boyfriend before resuming your walk.

a/n: another Halloween request, sorry it’s late heh.
Hi there! Can I request some fluff with Wooyoung from ateez please? Maybe something like the two of them slow dancing during their stay-in date when their favorite song comes on? Thank you!!!
My sweet anon, I hope you enjoy this! ~ Admin K
Flashes of lightning and pouring rain quickly put an end to the date Wooyoung had intricately planned. Peaking out the window, you sighed upon seeing the lake forming outside.
“I’m sorry things didn’t work out, babe.” Turning to Woo with a slight frown on your face, you watched him nod his head sadly. You pulled him into a quick hug before patting his back. “Let’s make supper.”
Turning on your favorite playlist, Wooyoung quickly cheered up as several poppy songs played over the speakers. An impromptu dance party began, the pair of you giggling at the other’s silly dancing. Pulling you into a quick kiss, Wooyoung chuckled against your lips. Dragging yourself away from him, you tried to scold him for distracting you, but it was hard to keep the smile off your face.
You put the finishing touches on the dish and slid it in the oven to bake. As you began chopping garnish to add to your plate, you heard the song switch to something softer. Steady arms snuck around your waist and pulled you close. Nuzzling his nose into your neck, he placed soft kisses to the shell of your ear before speaking quietly. “It’s our song.” Humming in agreement, you continued chopping, enjoying the way his fingers traced patterns onto your sides. “Dance with me.” Placing the knife down, you turned to face him. He took your hand gently, placing it on his chest while intertwining the other with his. With his free hand he pulled you close to him, sighing when he felt your heartbeat against his chest. You began to sway slowly, taking your time and feeling the beat of the song.
“You’re so beautiful.”
Opening your eyes, you noticed the adoration in his eyes. You laughed a little at the unexpected compliment. “I’m covered in flour and my hair’s a mess.”
Shaking his head firmly, he pecked you on the nose. “Beautiful.” Melting into his embrace, you swayed in his arms, foreheads connected and hearts beating as one until the timer went off. Even though Wooyoung was cheesy, you had to admit that life wouldn’t be the same without him.
prompt: after a long day of work, hanbin can’t wait to return home.
genre: fluff
word count: 934
Hanbin sighed as he made his way to the door, making sure to thank his manager for the ride home (though, in all honesty, his driving frightened the man just a tiny bit.) before he did so. Getting out his keys, he opened the front door and took a step inside, already feeling lighter. Being there, in the home he shared with you, it brought him peace to contrast his usual bustling day at the leader of such an energetic group. Shrugging off his jacket before abandoning it completely on the couch, Hanbin made a beeline to the bedroom door.
He opened it slowly, worried that the creaky door would wake you otherwise. It was almost four in the morning, and the last thing he wanted to do was disturb your rest. He peeked inside the room, pausing in the doorway at the sight of you. You were sprawled out on the bed, the baby blue comforter barely covering your body. The window was open, allowing the moonlight to spill into the room, painting it in its luminous glow. He made slow steps toward the bed, walking around to your side before crouching. A small smile pulled at his lips, his hand moving to tuck a strand of hair that had fallen over your closed eyes behind your ear. Hanbin pressed a gentle kiss against your temple before moving to his feet.
He was quick to change into pajamas, simply a pair of pajama pants, and crawl into the empty space beside you. The moment his head hit the pillow, he found himself scooting closer to you. Eventually, his rustling woke you, and for a second you were scared an intruder had broken into the house. Once you realized it was Hanbin, an obvious hint being the cologne you had given him for his birthday, you sighed in content before turning around to face him. You stared at one another, his eyes tracing your features as though he was scared he would forget a single detail. Shifting closer, you brought a hand up to his cheek.
Had it been a year earlier, he may have flinched at your touch and shy away. Now, however, he was comfortable enough to be intimate with you, something you gladly took advantage of. He stayed still as you traced your fingers over his features, his eyes fluttering closed as he relished your warm touch. When you brushed your thumb over his soft lips, he opened his eyes. You offered him a small, tired smile as you leaned your forehead against his. “I missed you,” you whispered, your voice bringing solace to his buzzing mind. “You were gone for too long.”
Hanbin felt the corners of his lips curl into a smile as he rested his hands on your hips, bringing you closer to his body. “It was only a day, [Y/N].” His voice was so gentle it brought shivers down your spine, your hand that wasn’t resting upon his cheek closing into a fist atop his chest. “But,” he leaned forward, pressing a soft kiss against your lips. You didn’t have time to reciprocate the action, as he was already pulling away. “I missed you too.”
You continued to study him with your touch, running the pads of your thumbs over his jaw. Your eyes trailed to his own, his reflective dark eyes never failing to leave you speechless. The man in front of you was many things, and attractive was one of them. Leaning forward, you kissed him again. Then another time. And another. Hanbin had no complaints, pressing into you as he moved his lips against yours with the softest movements, as though he was scared he would break you.
One kiss got heated, and you found yourself on your back as he carefully crawled over you, not once disconnecting your lips. His hands stayed on your hips, his palms pinning you to the bed as he kissed you. Your hands trailed up his chest before fisting the fabric of his shirt, bringing him closer to you. Even with the open window letting in the cool night air, you felt so, so warm in that moment. When he pulled away, he continued to pepper kisses all over your face, making you laugh quietly. He bore into your eyes again before smiling down at you.
“I love you,” he breathed out, detaching his hand from your hip to cup your cheek. Holding your own hand over his, you leaned into his touch. At the sight of you beneath him, leaning into him, he bowed his head, hiding his face in the crook of your neck. You shivered when he began pressing kisses against your neck. “The things you do to me, I swear…”
Cupping his face, you brought him back up for another kiss, this time shorter than the last. “I should be the one saying that,” you mumbled against his lips, “you drive me crazy Hanbin. Even when you’re doing nothing, you’re too much for me to handle sometimes.” Taking his hand, you pressed it against your chest, allowing him to feel how fast your heart was beating. “Take responsibility,” you joked, ducking your head into the crook of his neck.
Pressing his forehead against yours, he closed his eyes. He could stay there forever, with you in his arms. He knew that the sun would rise once again, and when it did your responsibilities would come back, pulling you and him to different parts of the town. But for now, he was content with staying in bed with you, stealing kisses every now and then.
waking up from a nightmare you could not entirely remember the content about is an unsettling experience. the erratic beat of your heart, desperate to be let out of its cage and the beads of sweat gathering to dampen the skin of your neck while your hair sticks to your face might very well be your least favoured way of jumping out of your bed in search for comfort.
maybe it's because he wasn't there in the room, sleeping on the bed next to you, that you had such dreams— heeseung's presence had always been the sole reason you felt safe.
the living room had the lights turned on, a lone figure sitting on the sofa with pens scattered around, papers littering the floor beneath the coffee table and its surroundings.
"heeseung."
his shoulders freeze from the unexpected call of his name at two am, midnight passing by, breaking him out of his deep thoughts over his unfinished sketches. his eyes dart towards your figure to take in your disheveled hair, clammy skin and the stutter of your chest when you try to take a breath.
you feel your eyes burn with relief after seeing him set down the pencil in his gan and navigate his way towards you. no words make out of your lips before he pulls you into his arms right then and there, "i'm sorry."
you clench your fists at his back, fingers gripping tightly on his shirt, "please, don't be. i was just a little..."
he cradles your head closer to his chest to let you have a listen to his heartbeat, a relaxing pace compared to your frantic one moments before. "i'm here now. i got you."
he presses a kiss on the crown of your head, "let's go back to bed."
