“Maybe.” After thinking about it for another few seconds, Riley took off the sweater and flattened down the shirt she was wearing underneath it. She refolded the clothing and put it back on the shelf where the other sweaters were. “Somebody could wear it better than I can.”

“Well, obviously! Somebody is always gonna be able to wear something better than somebody else, and my mom always used to say that’s a good thing! Because if everybody really really really suited the same thing, then we’d all be wearing the same thing --- and I don’t know about you, but I really like a lot of colours.”

“I’m not sure if red suits me, but it’s good to try new things right?” Riley asked no one in particular, some self doubt appearing through her slight frown. Again, things weren’t going in her favor, but that wasn’t news. The girl was use to her parents controlling her fate, and here she was, another strange location she didn’t want to be in. She took a deep sigh and watched herself in the mirror, her frown only deepening. Things can only get worse.

Bo wasn’t sure either. He only knew one person that pulled off red exceptionally well, and in a way, he associated the colour with her, and her only--- finding it rather strange whenever he’d come across anybody else in her signature hue. But of course Bo couldn’t tell the girl in front of him that he didn’t know, and instead nodded a smile. “I think it suits you really well!”

Stitch had not been expecting the closeness of the other boy, but didn’t protest to it, finding it to be a small comfort. “Just some cheap whiskey.” He said as he handed it over to Bo’s extended hand. “It’s not really that good, but it does what it’s supposed to.” In other words, it helped keep Stitch from focusing on what he wanted to avoid.

“Whiskey?” Cautious but dumbly curious, Bo brought the alcohol to his lips and took a rather big sip, as if he were swallowing water, only to cough a choke as the strong taste tickled his throat. “Oh ---” Though he managed to recover quickly, Bo wasn’t going to try it again, and held it back toward his werewolf friend. “Are you okay? You looked kinda lonely.”

“I understand.” Berlioz nodded once, not elaborating. Growing up in California with an uncommon french name earned him his fair share of giggles during school. He began to walk, looking slightly upward in thought, hoping Bo wasn’t trailing too far behind. “One of the halls?” Berlioz suggested, not wanting to admit he was slowly becoming a financially unstable university student. He turned to Bo, small look of consideration on his face. “Unless you were thinking of somewhere specific, Bo.”

Bo held a finger to his chin for a moment, contemplating the possibilities as if he were deep in thought --- as if this were something he needed to put all of his energy into thinking of. He knew the lay of the land rather well, due to his adventurous nature and curious way of distracting himself from dwelling on unsavory things, which meant there were many places he could have been able to suggest. It was whether or not this new friend would enjoy those places, that he had to sit on. “Well, maybe I was, yeah! Kind of, at least. Do ya know how many restaurants and bakery's they have here in Monaco? A lot! What kinda food do you want?”

Stitch sat quietly at the edge of a small pond while he watched a small family of ducks swim around in it. His knees were pulled to his chest and his chin was resting upon them when he noticed someone sit down near him. Normally he’d want to be alone when he was upset, but he had done a pretty good job of isolating himself from everyone this month that having some company now didn’t bother him as much as it would have. He picked up a half empty bottle of whiskey and offered it to his company without taking his misty eyes off of the scene in front of him. “Want some?”

Joining the older boy with a casual hum, Bo sat himself down comfortably, slinging an arm around the others waist and resting his chin atop of the others shoulder as if it were something he’d done many times before. “What is it?” He asked in a curious whisper as he studied the offered bottle and extended his empty hand towards it.

━━━ “ Of course! You’ve got chamomile for sleep, peppermint for colds and hibiscus for when you’re just feelin’ down. ” Mariah smiled wide. “ So, how about some tea? ”

“So do you think I should have some hibiscus tea, then? I’ve never really liked tea before --- but if you think it’ll fix everything, I would love some.”

“That’s not…I wasn’t trying to…” Berlioz was flustered, but remained defensive. Then just like that he gave up, slumping lazily against Bo’s arm.  “Bo’s a nice name, that’s all I mean to say.” he said quietly. He allowed himself to move to the rhythm of the cheerful boy next to him, partially out of politeness and partially out of the need for relaxation. “Let’s go have breakfast.”

“Well, anyway, thank you! A lot of people seem to like it here, which is weird cause back home my friends hated calling me Bo --- they weren’t very nice.” Shrugging it off, and focusing on their meal plans, Bo felt unable to take a step in any general direction and instead, waited for Berlioz to take the lead. Breakfast in bed was quite a nice image in his innocent thoughts, but it seemed that wouldn’t be where they would dine. “Breakfast where? You thinking of some place special?”

━━━  “ Why are you talkin’ that way about yourself? ” Mariah’s voice hitched as her English accent came through. “ Well, nothing that can’t be fixed with a spot of hot tea . ”

“Cause it’s true.” He huffed, not realizing it would be best to elaborate just why he felt that way. “Can tea really fix everything?”

“But the syllables sound different.” Berlioz plainly told Bo, running a hand through his hair. He didn’t want to spoil the his new friend’s fact, but Berlioz rarely had anything to say as is. He grinned at his own surprise thought and tried to speak over his sudden chuckles. “D-d-do you think we’d be Bed and Breakfast?” When he finished asking his joke of a question, he swung his head back and erupted into laughter. He shot his head up once composed and exclaimed, “Breakfast! We could go for breakfast?”

“I don’t know what a syllable is, but of course they sound different! They’re completely different names--- I do think it would be pretty cool if we were both called Bo or Berlioz, though.” Changing his hold on the others arm completely now, Bo wrapped his arm around it, swinging his movements with a gleeful giggle. “So you wanna go have breakfast in bed?”

Berlioz felt a grin begin to pull at the corner of his mouth. His furrowed eyebrows indicated his continuing bewilderment, but he was mostly fascinated by the smaller boy’s personality. He allowed his shoulders drop down in relaxation and extended his hand to Bo. “I’m Berlioz. Very nice to meet you, Bo.”

“Well, would you look at that... we’re both bees!” It was an obvious observation that Bo had made based on sound alone, but it was one he would likely cling to, until his inquiries taught him more about the other. “My good friend, Berlioz! It is so nice to meet you too. What would you like to do today?”

“Well, why would that be?” Mariah sat down next to the young bow, wrapping an arm around him. If only she had some tea to offer.

Though he knew nearly nothing about the female, Bo gave into her comfort, leaning his head on her shoulder with a light sigh escaping him, then shortly after, sat back upright, answering her question so nonchalantly. “Because I’m a coward who ruins everything.”
