Evaluation
Overall i am very happy with the outcome of FitBit Advertisement! I have learnt a lot of new techniques in both Visual Effects and Animation in Cinema 4D. I am very happy at the look of the shots, and i hope i can build my experience in 3D software.
I want to say thank you to my actors, Cinematographers, Pilots, and of course all the locations which allowed FitBit to be filmed.
Few more pictures from the Gym shoot.
Here you can see that for the gym shoot, we placed two LEDs to the left of the athlete then 1 light from the right hand side of the camera to get the look we got. The pan out in the edit was achieved by using a track and dolly to keep the camera still, and myself and Jack would make the shot stable.
Sweating? ....NO?
When shooting FitBit sometimes when i wanted the actors / Athletes to appear like they had been working very intensely. I would place water on the face of them, and which ever other body parts we were filming. This also really helped with the cinematography, especially with the gym shots with Bethan (Openning Scene) and Calum (Bike scene).

Further Development
At first, once listening to the sound track for the piece and the way i edited the scenes to go with the sound. I wasn't to sure about if i wanted a a massive voice over in the piece, as i loved the track so much. So i decided to record my voice actor saying a few motivating slogans which could fit in the advert, then i tested them with the sound. I used all of them, as i loved how they integrated into the piece.

Running Scene - Bute Park
Running Shoot - Bute Park
This scene was filmed as an additional scene as i still had a lot of effects to use in production. So i filmed a few shots down Bute Park, just outside the Swalec Stadium. This was filmed by myself and acted well by a good friend of mine - Daniel Foster.
The results from the shoot i am very happy with, and i think it also shows something a bit different in the scenes which i really like. When grading the shots from this scene, i also like the way the colours blend with the 3D graphic for the amount of steps the actor/athlete completes.

Director / DOP - Daniel Burn (Canon 5D, Tripod)
Actor / Athlete - Daniel Foster
Additional helpers - Calum McCulloagh, Nicole Davis
Thank you!
For your video YouTube free music 🎶
Here is the Music i will use because i believe it fits perfectly with the different scene. Very happy!
The 3D graphic i didn't use.
This graphic was also part of the FitBit collection which showed how many floors someone had completed.
The 3D graphics used were all produced in Cinema 4D, as i want to be comfortable in different types of software.
A reimagined dashboard experience gives you a better view of your data to help you achieve your health and fitness goals.
Graphic Research
Reach New Levels - Glowing letters to represent the online glowing graphics database they advertise with the watch.
Inspiration - In my production for FitBit i wanted to advertise in a way that i was saying to the public “a FitBit can bring your fitness to the next level”. I want to advertise FitBit as the perfect product to do that!
So my slogan will be “Reach New Levels”.
Creating the Motion Graphics and the 3D assets
The pre-production research which had been taken place for the FitBit production, had a clear rule which i set out. That was that every graphic had to relate to the Online FitBit database. The online FitBit database shows each of the graphics i used on their FitBit advertising.
FitBit keep all the statistics online, the watch shows you quite a lot but once you jump onto your account online, you get to see information which the watch may not show you. The online account for FitBit uses high glowing graphics. So i that to keep this in all my graphics! It also uses very strict colour schemes, which i had to follow. Every graphic created in both 2D and 3D for the production, i took complete reference from the database FitBit shows online.
