          hearing ginger talk about maria’s cooking honestly made midge chuckle a little. she loved her friends, but maria’s cooking DEFINITELY wasn’t ideal for human consumption – but she sure did TRY. “ at least she hasn’t given anyone FOOD POISONING? ” midge was trying her hardest to be supportive, but ginger was RIGHT… maria’s food DID taste like what one would expect sweatpants to taste like, and it was INCREDIBLY unsettling.

i wasn’t going to make this post because i figured it wouldn’t be a huge deal, but here’s a life update: i got a job. i’m going to be working as a teacher’s aide in a school for children with severe mental & physical disabilities. when i got the job, i figured i’d still be around at night doing things… but its day two of training and all i want to do is sleep. so this blog ( and all my blogs ) are going to be slow reply & queue based for the time being.

          midge had never really considered jason a friend -- if anything, he was a passing acquaintance due to being one of her BOYFRIEND’S friends -- but she was still shocked by his passing, she was still upset about it. finding out that it wasn’t an ACTUAL accident had been shocking as well ( finding out moose had found the body with KEVIN KELLER had also been a shock ) and midge was almost too determined to find out who was responsible. that was why her ears immediately perked up when she heard violet speak, “ you try being raised by the BLOSSOMS. ” she argued, not knowing exactly why she was defending jason but feeling compelled, “ they aren’t EXACTLY the most loving parents. ”

          “ why are boys so GROSS? ” midge asked with a sigh, shaking her head before letting her eyes meet veronica’s. “ and why do they have to have disgusting names for EVERYTHING? if a girl asks for literally anything a guy is going to take it as wanting some… obscure degrading sex act. ” her voice began rising as she spoke, getting more and more heated about the topic, “ it NEEDS to stop. ”

maria raises her eyebrows at her friend’s outburst. she hadn’t expect that the moment she saw her. “ hello to you too, midge. ” she says putting her books in her locker and getting those she needs for the next couple of periods. when it came to midge.. they weren’t the closest, not after she dumped her to spend all of her time with moose, so she used the term friend loosely at times. “ ethel talks to anyone who listens. you were in the book with a six next to moose’s name. ” maria shrugs, shoving her things into her bag. “ sorry chica.. ” she says, offering her her sympathies.

          she DOESN’T want to believe it. moose may have been a football player, but he was supposed to be HER boyfriend. she WASN’T supposed to be on the level of other girls. she was supposed to be different. she wasn’t supposed to get rated in a damn PLAYBOOK for the entire team ( the entire school ) to see. her jaw clenched slightly when maria talked, and she tried wrapping her mind around exactly what her friend was saying, “ i’m going to KILL him. ” she responded almost immediately, trying to sound angry instead of hurt, but she was SURE that some of her hurt was still shining through -- for as tough as she acted, she still had feelings and they got hurt rather easily.

          the short haired brunette was out for a walk with her dog when she saw the drummer of the pussycats feeding a group of birds. midge couldn’t help but smile at the pure expression on the girl’s face as she spoke to the animals. “ do you think they can ACTUALLY understand you? ” she asked, tilting her head to the side as her dog ran up through the group of birds, “ i mean... it’d be COOL if they could, you know? ” / @melodiied
