“That all depends on if you can control shifting between forms or how long you can hold a glamour spell, Cosmo.” Amunet replied. Aladin chuffed softly, enjoying the ear scratches when he licked the boy’s cheek. Mother can smell that you are not completely mortal, Little One. There are others, those who can take mortal form, who call our realm home. Well, more accurately visit… Amunet smiled and confirmed what Aladin said, doing her best to not overwhelm Cosmo.

      He couldn’t help the heavy sigh that left him, feeling it was a good time to explain to the people that had saved him. “I’m half demon, at least that’s what I was told by someone who knew my birth mother..” he paused, just petting the panther quietly. “I know that I can control fire and actually when I’m angry I look like the Human Torch.” It was likely neither knew what he was talking about. “But that’s as far as I’ve explored it..so I really don’t know what will happen if I go with you..” his ears were pushed back and he tried to move closer to the panther beside him.

Aladin gently and carefully nuzzled Cosmo as his mother helped him back onto the bed. “It will take a while for you to heal, sadly.” She admitted. “Cosmo, this is Aladin one my sons. He would like for you to stay with us in the realm I live in. No human, unless they are a child, god, or demon can enter without my permission. You would be safe there and you might heal even faster.” 

      He leaned into the attention from the creature, his hand buried in the thick fur. He always loved cats, they were the perfect friend when he had no one to talk to. His hand instantly moved to scratch at the male’s ear, still listening to Amunet. “W-will I look like this? Or will it activate my abilities and stay that way while I’m there?” He couldn’t remember if he’d actually told her why he had his ears and tail. He did know that he was already very fond of the creature beside him.

“What kind of games are there? I don’t actually know how to play any card games,” Aiyanna admitted truthfully. “I think a simple one would be good to start with.” 

  Cosmo thought for a moment, smiling. “Well, there’s crazy eights, gin rummy, go fish, war..” he paused, setting the cards down. It felt strange to have to explain card games, but he didn’t mind. “Go fish and war are pretty simple, but they are very different.”

Aladin did his best to make sure that he didn’t harm the boy as he shifted to get comfortable. Mother…this boy cannot return to the humans. Aladin said though he growled at the word humans. Those who harmed him- “I figured as much, my son. The Hunters will pay for this…Anubis is already on his way.” Aladin snorted as if in agreement when he turned back to lick the boy’s head. I want him to stay with us, Mother.

      He shifted closer to the warmth of the feline, a hand moving into his fur. He woke up after trying to roll into the feline. Cosmo quickly rolled back onto his back, a hand going to his wound. “Damn..” his tail shifted, showing his annoyance. “This sucks.” He was surprised at himself, normally he’d have asked questions about the panther beside him.
