With a startled yell, Mario jumps awake. Bro, he barely ever has time for sleep, please.

As soon as he registers who the person sitting on his bed is, he puts his guard down and goes back into sleepy mode.

“L, it’s late… Whaddya need?”

          He doesn’t even flinch at the scream. His worries are screaming much, much louder than his frightened brother. Something is wrong. Very wrong. Horribly, painfully, scarily wrong.

          “Something’s wrong.” And he’d say it, too. He had to. “I’m worried about Daisy. Whaddya think I should do?” Go down there when they hadn’t even met yet? Whew...
