If you’re strictly a Disney blog please reblog or like this I want to follow you
Does the Disney College Program count? :)
I know I haven’t updated — like at all, really — and I apologize for leaving y’all hanging. But this proves how crazy (graduating, moving, and) the Disney College Program is! Crazy awesome, of course ;).
I really enjoy taking Polaroids, and I have a question that ties well into that hobby: if I sold these — good ones, I promise I have self-learned and academic photography “skills”, and of course I’d scan them before putting them up so you know exactly what you’re purchasing, and without the watermark of course — would you maybe possibly consider thinking about buying them? Like, $4 each, $10 if signed by a character? Probably cheaper to start out with, like $3 and $8, but yeah, please tell me what you think!!
P.S.: I just read over this and realized I used "of course" thrice and I'm so sorry, that must've been annoying to read and I thank you for doing so!
Day off, still working. Happily.
So I’m having fun at Magic Kingdom for a couple hours and while in line for the Laugh Floor, a little girl dressed as Rapunzel fell down behind me, started crying, and both of her parents yelled at her for horsing around and threatened to go back to the hotel if she didn’t stop. A few minutes later, when they were calmer and we were inside the larger room, I knelt and asked, “Are you Rapunzel?" She smiled and nodded. “She’s my favorite princess! Can I have your autograph?” Her eyes grew. “Oh no, I don’t have paper!” I exclaimed. (Seriously though, the one day I don’t have napkins in my purse.) Her mom was smiling now and commented, “Write with your finger.” “Can you write your name on my hand? Right here,” I pointed at my palm. I saw her spell out ‘Brooke’. “Brooke?” She grinned and nodded again. “Brooke Rapunzel… I’m gonna call you Rapunzel though. Next time I’m down here, we’re gonna get a picture together, okay? I want a picture with the princess.” She then rapidly (and almost unintelligibly) discussed with me the highs of her vacation and when she’s coming back. I kept below her eye level and shared in her joys.
Although her dad didn’t seem too thrilled, it is now my job to create Magical Moments on or off the clock. Brooke, I hope you have a wonderful rest of your vacation. The rest of y’all, if you see an unhappy kid and feel a tug at your heart, don’t be afraid to try to make them happy. Trust me, their smile is worth it.
Walt, I’m blessed with what you’ve created.
Walt, thank you for being a constant inspiration.
Walt, today I will continue your legacy.
Walt, I hope to make you proud.
To all you May 27th DCPers out there: the wait’s over. Can’t wait to meet y’all!
1. DAY. LEFT. I met a couple of my apartmentmates (one is my roommate) by picking them up at the Orlando airport. Tonight we chat, explore, and look forward to the next 7 months we'll spend together at the happiest place on Earth :D starting in just several hours! (@dcp_er)
2 DAYS!! You can make a peace sign with that! And the Disney point!(@dcp_er)
CANNOT. WAIT. TO SEE THIS. AGAIN. 3 DAYS!!! (@dcp_er)
Favorite princess movie — not topping TLK — illustrated by my love for half of my favorite number :P (@dcp_er)
Least favorite number but one of my favorite countdown photos :) 5 days AND we’re halfway through the week! (@dcp_er)
6 days left until this UF grad works at Disney! Go Gators!! (@dcp_er)
7 days left until my program begins! (@dcp_er)
My all-time favorite number for my all-time favorite movie: 8 days left represented by The Lion King! (@dcp_er)
And we’re down to the single digits! (@dcp_er)
Apparently 10 days until my program forces me to return to my tumblr :P. And guess what, y'all? I'm on instagram! (Again!) @dcp_er, wouldn't ya know ;). I apologize for my lack of updates... a lot's happened these last few weeks that were both planned and unexpected, full of joy and full of sorrow, magical and saddening. I'll make another post about it later, but for now, see if you like my short feed, and follow to see some strictly-DCP photos!
Disney Onsite Resident Management System will be live for YOU approximately 10 days before your check-in date
Fill this out and print/bring it with you to check-in to skip the line and immediately receive your keys and start moving in! If you have a group you want to live with and ONE of you fills this out, you no longer need to check-in together (remember: same sex, same check-in date).
DORMS-specific username/password will be sent within the email. Use this to log in, and then change your password.
Fill out the personal info page, which has plenty of preference options.
Bringing a car? Make sure to input all your vehicle's info to get a parking decal.
Read over the Community Codes Forum (apartment complexes' rules), Payroll (authorization of weekly rent taken from your paycheck), and Alcohol Policy (required to complete regardless of age/housing) forms.
Again, if you've already chosen housemates, have ONE person get everyone's IDs to input into the roommate preference page. Once this is complete, the others will receive an email to accept this arrangement and fill out their own info. If someone declines, they cannot be asked again to room in the same apartment, so click/choose wisely!
Review the rent rates and list your top picks for housing. If your first community/unit preferences conflict (e.g.: 4-bedroom for Vista Way) you will be assigned the first choice for one category and the second choice for the other (e.g.: 4-bedroom for Chatham, or 3-bedroom for Vista Way).
Congratulations! Housing made easy :).
Although I think they should have released this before people started booking plane tickets/making traveling plans, this is a huge relief for the whole DCP community. WE CAN GET A FULL NIGHT'S SLEEP BEFORE MOVING INTO OUR WONDERFUL NEW APARTMENTS!
I absolutely cannot wait to see this in person…
I did not think this was real/up-to-date but now I believe... oh my gosh. Something just got added to the bucket list.
