Someone finally found and sent me translations to the Klonoa mangas

(Images 1-4) “Beast Joka - At the end of Vision 5, the nightmare Beast Joka was created as an enemy to block the way of Klonoa; under the sun, he is the usual lazy Joka, but during a solar eclipse, he changes his form and suddenly becomes very powerful. Looking at the records, it seems that the two concepts below, アルコ・アルカ (Aruko Aruka) and カルア・コルア (Karua Korua), were originally supposed to be the bosses, with the appearance of the sun transformed by the eclipse, but after some twists and turns, it turned out to be Joka, Ghadius’ subordinate, and his transformed form. The idea of the transformation by the eclipse is well utilized, and the Joka during the eclipse looks somewhat like Karua Korua, but why was it necessary to change it? It may have been a narrative convenience.”

(Images 5 & 6) “Gelg Bolm - At the end of Vision 3, Joka unleashes Gelg Bolm, a giant seed-spewing boss with the appearance of a poisonous flower. However, when we look at the records of the creation process, we can see that there were some major changes, such as マイムマイム (Maimu Maimu), which looks like a snail, and ヌメラ (Numera), which is a slug monster. All of them seem to move slowly, but their design is not similar to the existing Gelg Bolm. There was also a period of time when it was considered to look like a snake or a spider.”

(Images 7-9) “Baladium - Baladium appears at the end of Vision 4, and the two sketches below were the original inspiration for its current form. ノットソット (Notto Sotto), reminiscent of a snake or seahorse, and くりおねなやつ (Kurionenayatsu), who looks exactly like a clione, are both designs that give some idea of the process by which Baladium was created. The character named Kurionenayatsu, in particular, was actually once existed in the game until a month before Phantomile’s creation was completely finished. After that, he had to be replaced by Baladium, which must have been very disappointing. It’s one of many moments that show the hardship of being a designer.”
