too many faces

I don't TRUST the thoughts that come inside my head, I don't trust this thing that b e a t s inside my chest. who I am and who I wanna be cannot connect; why? smile for a moment then these questions starting to fill my head, not again! I push away the people that I love the most; why? I don't want no one to know I'm vulnerable; why? that makes me feel weak and so u n c o m f o r t a b l e; why? stop asking me questions, I just wanna feel ALIVE, until I die. I'm a busy person, got no time for lies; one of a kind. they don't see it; I p u l l out their eyes; I'm on the rise! I've been doing this for most my life with no advice.

“be smart,” he retorted, turning slowly, glancing around them, before shooting her a wink. of course, jude was a little more braver than most, but he wasn’t bound by his coven’s foolish nature anymore, and he wasn’t about to give up the one thing that made him because some vampire said so. “you can only be punished if you’re caught, obviously, not everybody follows the rules in the quarter.”

“You sound like one of those annoying activists, but I can at least agree with you on the last part.” The way people acted tended to come from either fear or misunderstanding, like Marcel she had already figured the first applied since no good leader would isolate two species that could whip his ass into next month if he wasn’t afraid of what either could do. “I get that but sadly I don’t have that much money, so affording the books I wanna read is a little challenging.” Not to mention she was also trying to avoid speaking to her dad or the coven.

“not an activist, just bitter about the school I never went to,” jude winked playfully, pulling down the shutters to his shop, wondering why he’d even stopped to humour the woman, but that was his luck, opening up next to a bar. “find the right kind, and they don’t cost a thing,” he hummed, tilting his head to the side, “you are a witch, why not just -- use your gifts?”

“I hear a full moon turns most people insane…-like don’t quote me on it because I did drop out of college but there’s been reports before where they say the most crime happens on a full moon.” She shrugged, she figured it always had some mystical explanation since it was already controlling one species to turn so why not another be made to do insane things. 

“there are a lot of things that drive people insane, but sure, society would have you believe it’s people -- but that’s because they don’t want to accept that everything they’re afraid of is real.” his lips curved up into a smirk, shoulders lifting in a shrug, “college is overrated, you can find intelligence in books and such without teachers.”

Rebekah knew she should garner more respect for witches, but lack of patience from the Originals’ growing problems squeezed most of the restraint she possessed in holding her tongue accordingly. “Oh, really?” Act rational, remain calm, and maybe the little nit will go away, the vampire attempted to remind herself. Causing unwanted trouble by offending a witch and inadvertently waging war between species wasn’t particularly her style, but nothing stopped Bekah from sassing him. “How about I take off my stiletto and jam it through your little baby face? Would you believe me then?”

jude tilted his head to the side, he could gather from her style, the accent, her overall demeanour and the strong sense of death that this was no ordinary vampire, but that didn’t mean he’d back down from a fight, that would only mean he’d be more smart about how he approached this. he pushed himself up, his smirk growing more obvious, “how about you try it, rebekah, and we’ll see where that takes us.”

the statement was to be expected, most just assumed that jude, much like his previous coven, followed marcel’s rules out of pure fear. the truth was, he didn’t much care for the rules and regulations, and so far, he’d gotten away with it, that was because jude was very specific about who he trusted in this town, and nobody at all trusted him. the witch stepped forward, the smirk on his features said enough as his head cocked to the side, “I know the rules...” but that didn’t mean he complied to them. “it’s true, I can be a real pain in the ass, but -- for the right cause, I’m willing to be on my best behaviour.”

Klaus listened rather intently, though in his current state trusting the people he knew was a challenge let alone some stranger he’d just met in the Bayou. Though he couldn’t deny the truth to his words, either way if the guy was anything but genuine the hybrid would be sure to tear his throat out. “You make so fine points and i’d say the same but beyond stating what i’m already far too aware of, you’ve not mentioned what that has to do with you or why in turn I should care about who you are mate?” 

“oh, you don’t have to do anything, but I’m pretty sure you’re aware of that,” jude stepped forward, looking around him, “we have some things in common, but our species isn’t one of them. I’m a witch, a brilliant one, with an unlimited set of skills and a thirst for knowledge... perhaps a worthy ally when you commence the takeover... I presume that is what you’re doing, taking back your home?”

jude smiled a little brighter and leaned forward, “quite the vampire aren’t you,” he breathed, eyeing him up and down, even more so pleased when the other decided not to dwell in his pity with company. jude leaned back, “if somebody died -- I could help you, if you’re just miserable, I could probably help with that too.”

“Perhaps there is beauty in the beast that will tear your throat out without a care in the world…though I suppose you are aware of that since you already know who I am?” Granted anyone who didn’t at least knew some tale of the family and if nothing at all, then that remained their mistake. Though he was curious as to why the kid was here. 

“I’m very aware of what you are, who you are, what you’re capable of, yada, yada, yada,” jude hummed, tilting his head as he slowly came to a stop before the hybrid. “my name’s jude, and I actually admire you, marcel is just -- some vampire, you... you are something unique, extraordinary, something people should actually be afraid of,” he rolled his eyes, biting his lip, “I’m rather glad we’re finally meeting.”

It was strange, most days painting did enough to ease his mind and gave him the very much needed control in which he desired though for taking wolf form to have become far more a comfort than perhaps in years past, felt rather strange. Finishing getting dressed of course, he wondered back through the deepness of the Bayou concluding that perhaps for once beside the odd animal he had not killed another being. 

he had watched him, having done his research, he knew exactly who the man before him was, and he was more than impressed by the graceful turn he made, not that he expected anything but. “you are a beautiful wolf, klaus, if you don’t mind me saying,” jude addressed, moving from between the trees, cautious in his approach of the other.
