1. why did a rin okumura blog have to follow me. that, of course, meant that i had to watch ALL of ao no exorcist / blue exorcist again. ok. this didn’t hurt me at all. i’m fine. i owe a crapton of starters oops but first i wanted to write down in messy 5:30am format this sad hc i had for daud & corvo brb

wow they’re both from serkonos & only 3 years apart so like ??? what if !! what if they’d known each other when they were kids? & eventually they both grew up / grew apart but maybe they were like, BEST FRIENDS.

& years later, daud is hired to kill the empress, and it’s like. ok. that’s chill. just another job. but he knows the lord protector is corvo attano and he’s like OK BLESS bc it may have been 2397493 years but corvo did once mean a lot to him bc u know. childhood best friends.

but then corvo fucks everything up by coming home early and daud is like, OK, SHIT, THIS IS NOT FINE-- & of course he kills jessamine anyways bc it’s his job, but daud never touched corvo. like, i know it wouldn’t have been reasonable to kill corvo for the sake of having a game to play, but since when has daud ever really seemed to care who he leaves alive? as far as i’ve seen it’s been more of a leave no witnesses policy, so why the hell leave corvo? corvo wasn’t SUPPOSED to be there and even though the spymaster was like ok this dude makes a great fall guy daud probably wasn’t going oh yeah, let’s leave a red herring, of COURSE this is what the empire needs,,, ???

so daud spares corvo out of some childhood friendship need.

and then corvo goes hunting daud down.

---also, daud probably isn’t his real name. being separated for 20+ years (bc corvo was ~16 when he left serkonos and is 39 at the start of dishonored 1) means he doesn’t really look the same anymore, not to mention the fact that he’s probs got 2389487 scars from years of shit goin’ down, y’feel? so daud recognises corvo bc of his name but corvo really has nothing to go on so ?? no recognising daud.

corvo hunts down daud, and i really don’t see daud just giving up at the end of a fight when he’s weak. there’s absolutely no reason for him to do that. even if he can’t beat corvo, there’s no reason for him to just be like EH, FUCK IT. like, he’s probably got something up his sleeve that would take himself out and corvo, especially after the whole thing with overseers marching into the flooded district and fucking shit up.

but no, he just relents when he gets low on health and he’s all, one last surprise, i ask for my life and that just gets me because !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! tbh i forgot where i was going with this bc it’s 5:30 in the morning but i TRIED
