Guys I keep thinking about the fact that Dream hesitated when Wilbur asked for his help blowing up Manburg.

That Dream's first response wasn't "hell yeah", it was "Wait, Jschlatt can't be allowed to run a nation but you and Tommy can still have your L'manburg!"

That it took Wilbur promising he'd be an equally ambitious leader. That there wasn't any way to maintain peace as long as Manburg- L'manburg- whatever you wanted to call it, was still standing.

I mean a lot of people call out Dream for using the conflict to manipulate the situation and get rid of L'manburg. But Dream didn't try to get rid of Lamburg. He didnt even hand over that tnt until Wilbur borderline threatened him with the promise of being just as bad as they feared Schlatt would become. I mean Wilbur said Dream wanted L'manburg gone, but god, haven't we learned to stop listening to Wilbur by now?

And what was Dream meant to do? The only options were leave Schlatt in charge, put Wilbur in charge, or get rid of L'manburg entirely. Certainly the third one was the safest option, especially if Dream is assuming Wilbur will warn his allies (Tubbo, Nikki, Fundy, Tommy, Techno) and that they won't be hurt/killed during the act of terrorism Wilbur is planning.

Idealistically L'manburg would never have been founded. Dream was very much in the right during the first war and he is very aware of this fact. But it was created. So idealistically L'manburg would be run peacefully. But it's been made very clear that this isn't going to happen (I suppose Dream could put Tommy in charge, and in the end I hope he will end up leading L'manburg, but at the same time I can't really blame Dream for not even considering shoving a child into that position). Isn't the choice Dream made, with the ultimatum Wilbur was providing him, the safest option? The one that would lead to the most amount of bloodshed?

Idk man. Just...thinking about the fact that it's entirely possible Dream isn't trying to be selfish or manipulating the situatuon. That, in fact, from the hesitation he's shown and the things Wilbur said to him, he may not have even really had much of a choice..

tubbo and niki yell out to them while punz then walks towards tommy and wilbur, sword drawn high.

schlatt then goes and grab’s tubbo’s arm, pulling them back quickly as he laughs, announcing that tubbo was THERE RIGHT HAND MAN…

the look in tommy’s eyes as wilbur pulls him away quickly…. staring at tubbo as tubbo stares right at tommy, eyes full of fear and uncertainty
