When I behold the glory of God: my problems are just problems and not the end of me. Nothing is the final sentence on us but His glorious grace.

When I behold the glory of God: people are just people and not receptacles to squeeze validation, nor standards to please. I can simply cherish them.

When I behold the glory of God: I can accurately estimate the little length of time I’ve been given on earth, and move by His pulse. No wait is too long, no work is unsung.

But this is what Jesus does. He takes the most ragged, rowdy, unlikely wanderer and puts us on the frontlines to flex His glory, to wield His love, to heal people just like us. He’s always doing things like that, His heart so patient and pursuing.

Last February was one of the worst months of my life, I was so sad that it physically hurt. I remember just giving up on many things, dreams, relationships, love. I wasn’t depressed (I’ve been depressed), this was something different, it was a profound sadness that I had never experienced. I felt wounded, ugly, and alone. Then came March, I got to meet Allie and we connected. Suddenly, after having the worst month of my life, I had the best. You never know what tomorrow will bring, you never know how deep you must go before you see the end. My chapter in February ended in sadness, but my new chapter started in joy. This moment you are in, it’s only a moment. It may seem like a long one, but it will pass and it will get better. Hold on, you never know what tomorrow, or a month, or a year may bring.
