do you ever feel like the earth stops spinning when you come back to your hometown?

like life is content with staying the way it’s always been. people wonder around with no destination or destiny. in a way, this state of nothingness gives me freedom to ponder and sonder my time away. only the reality of the world rushing towards something unreachable, yet so desirable, sobers me up from the melancholic daze of summer. though, this rush makes me feel alive, the thrilling forward momentum. the rapid sensation of unfolding and moving.
