So this is a great scene and I’m kind of sad that I rarely see people doing a lot of talk about how much attention to detail there is in Disenchantment, because it is a lot!
One thing no one has mentioned is this moment. We know that Dagmar must have saved them from being burned at the stake, but this is such a quick detail that I’m sure most people didn’t notice:
Dagmar’s face actually appears in the fire before the ground collapses and our heroes are saved. View it better in this slowed down image:
This is such a great tiny bit of attention to detail! It makes me really want to grab several other screencaps and show off just what a great show this is from a design and animation viewpoint.
