Today, the Poitcast celebrates its fifth anniversary!
It started as two friends gushing over their favorite characters during lockdown and evolved into something greater. We had a lot of great folks on the show, got to meet each other in person for a recording, and gained a lot of confidence along the way.

This oneâs about the big fight series.
I want to talk about ObĂ©lixâs stage fright. Iâm guessing that this post is mainly for the people that think that this is a new feature for ObĂ©lix that Alain Chabat added.
Honestly, when I first saw some personâs comment somewhere saying that it was unnecessary to give him stage fright and that it was much better when âthe only thing the Gauls feared was the sky falling on their headsâ. I think the gif below will explain my reaction to this better than my words could.
ObĂ©lixâs stage fright is not something new. We fist saw it in AstĂ©rix and the cauldron (1969), we see it again in AstĂ©rix and the laurel wreath (1971). There are more examples of this throughout the comic books. Pretty sure
I loved the series very much, yes Iâm saying it again. One of the reasons that I loved it that much is because there are some details taken from other comic books that were incorporated in it.

Wanted to test out FireAlpaca's timelapse feature, so I did a quick Asterix style study. It's pretty good aside from the fact it exported at a pretty low quality (which I can probably fix anyway). On a side note, I'm getting better at replicating the Asterix comic art style. I'll definitely do more studies like this in the future.
